There’s been a lot of negativity about Europe’s tech ecosystem lately. But while challenges exist, Europe remains the world’s largest common market—and together, we have the opportunity to build one of the most exciting tech hubs globally.
We need a pro-innovation, pro-technology mindset. We need optimists, not pessimists; builders, not bureaucrats; collaboration, not division.
A huge thank you to our LPs for their continued trust in us, our co-investors, ecosystem partners, and of course the entire Cherry team. And most of all, thank you to all our Cherry Ventures founders, it's a privilege to be working together in this industry — and we’re just getting started.

Gerade bestimmen Doomsday-Szenarien die Schlagzeilen. Verständlich.
Aber es gibt auch die andere Seite: Die Zahl der GrĂĽndungen steigt. In Europa wachsen Firmen wie Lovable, ElevenLabs und Legora in einem Tempo, das es hier lange nicht gab.
Und Deutschland hat echte ack Forest Labs, n8n, Langdock – und eine ganze Reihe von Deeptech-Startups wie Isar Aerospace, Neura Robotics, Helsing, Quantum Systems, Stark, Marvel Fusion, Proxima Fusion und viele mehr.
Worauf ich hinauswill: Wir müssen wieder wachsen, um Wohlstand zu schaffen. Und Wachstum kommt seit Jahrzehnten vor allem aus VC-finanzierten Technologiefirmen. Wir haben bewiesen, dass wir das auch hier können.
Jetzt geht es darum, beherzt zuzugreifen und den Macherinnen und Machern unserer Zeit den roten Teppich auszurollen.

Good Morning from Germany, where one of Europe’s biggest landlords calls the country “uninvestable.” Heimstaden is withholding fresh capital over Berlin’s expropriation plans. It owns 20,000 apartments in the city worth ~€5bn and estimates a potential €1bn loss. Its hybrid bond nts in August to 82.5. Every major existing investor is back in, and we’re welcoming Baron Capital, Capital Group, Fidelity, Glade Brook and J.P. Morgan. We picked investors who think in decades. Several of them work with law very day, so they can see where the work is heading.
Lawyers are moving from AI assistants to agents that do multi-step work. The money goes there. We’re growing our teams across North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific, and going deeper on the Legora aOS.
Thank you to the 1,000+ people at Legora, and to the 140,000 legal professionals who use what we build.

Short-horizon money asks for growth at any price. Long-horizon money asks whether the business holds up. We’d rather deliver on the second question. ARR is past $200M, and the next $100M took us less than six months. Gross margin is healthy and the cost structure gets stronger as we scale. Patient investors let us keep it that way, because nobody is asking us to trade one for the other.

anthropic's revenue grew 7x in a year and unlike most companies, they actually can use any chip. and they are.
they use le's tpus, nvidia's gpus, AND signed a deal with amd
because it can use any chip, it can rent from anyone with capacity, which protects them from any shortage
meta came second at $48B with @nebiusai and @CoreWeave. but where's openAI? this year it signed just $10B with @cerebras
- (but in 2025 openai signed ~$610B with @Oracle, @Microsoft, @awscloud and @CoreWeave, while anthropic only signed ~$80B)
as long as anthropic keeps growing, the biggest neoclouds will continue to have a great customer
