Thanks to @MaajidNawaz for having me. The world needs to know about @UN complicity in #UyghurGenocide. @antonioguterres this needs to stop now. It is not difficult. Just stop.
Human Rights Lawyer Emma Reilly reveals that the UN is actively sharing the names of Uyghur dissidents with the Chinese Government, telling Maajid Nawaz the actions of the UN here are 'criminal.'

OHCHR don't work weekends. Newsflash: I, Miranda Brown, Anders Kompass and other #whistleblowers did. Because if someone is about to be executed for their politics, children are about to be raped or protestors about to be beaten, we cared.
We were fired. So OHCHR lacks capacity.

@Ginitastar @CerfiaFR Tiny bit aware. Those of us who actually cared did draft on weekends. You know, because plastic bullets in eyes sometimes happen on weekends, too.
And any time any of you want to stop OHCHR handing names to China, happy to re-provide the evidence for the nth time.

Macron changed the protest route to boulevards des maréchaux to make them look smaller.
Better luck next time.
People care about under-funding public services. Billionaires have bought up the French press, but the population has cameras in their pocket.

When Lana Nusseibeh visited a refugee camp in eastern Chad in an attempt to polish her country's image by handing out aid a number of Sudanese refugees refused it outright.
They stated they didn't want sacks of flour but for the UAE to stop funding the RSF genocidaires.

I am standing to be Secretary-General because I believe this is a moment to act with greater urgency: to act earlier, bring people together across difference, and drive the work forward until it produces concrete results. That is how we rebuild trust in the United Nations and ingful change for the people it exists to serve.

@Lana_Nusseibeh UN #whistleblowers are responsible for uncovering more misconduct than all other methods combined.
We report child rape, complicity in genocide, funding of terrorism, millions of dollars of fraud.
And every one of us is fired. The criminals are promoted.
How will you fix that?

Being a woman does not automatically translate into champion of women’s rights. The UN has proven itself to be an instrument of the misogynist establishment & women only rise through the ranks at the behest of the men in charge. The only change will be a doubling down
We welcome the candidacy of @Lana_Nusseibeh for UN Secretary-General and extend our warmest congratulations on her nomination. A steadfast advocate for women’s rights, her leadership highlights the vital role of Muslim women in global governance.

Doesn't it seem a little awkward for the UAE to run a candidate for UN Secretary General at the same time the UAE is arming the RSF militia committing mass murder and mass rape in Sudan?
It's official: Lana Nusseibeh, the United Arab Emirates minister of state, has announced her candidacy for the United Nations Secretary-General. She joins a somewhat crowded race of female and male candidates, some whom have already undergone the long interview process.

The use of force must be necessary to the achievement of a legitimate aim, and proportionate to achievement of that aim (i.e. the least force required).
I don't think dislike of the flute qualifies.

I'd love another hit on those Russian bot farms about now.
The stars of David painted on homes and businesses in my neighbourhood in Paris turned out to be a Russian op.
The unrelenting xenophobia of anglophone Twitter on the French protests may turn out to be the same. /1

But policing protest is supposed to be about deescalation. Contain the black block (hint: they're the ones wearing balaclavas - illegal in French protests).

Anglophone Twitter is divorced from all reality on what is actually happening in France. And a lot of the accounts from which anglophone Twitter is getting its info are the same ones that amplified those stars of David.
