This work helped formulate the problem that much of my PhD work was then based on. Great to see its recognition here at FSE!

Neil is on the academic job market. I know he'll impress folks with his research. But, let me say one more thing: Neil is among the kindest and most considerate person I've interacted with @IllinoisCS. I can't be more sure he'll be an excellent colleague and mentor for students.
Neil Zhao (@zzrcxb) presented his research on Side-Channel Attacks and Defenses in modern clouds at @IllinoisCS Systems Reading Group. He makes a convincing case that side-channel attacks are realistic in today's clous and discusses effective defenses. Truly impressive work!
