Testing the limits of PixiJS 3D post processing with our upcoming @colyseus demo 🏎️
Bloom, depth of field, reflections, motion blur and more, all running at 60fps on WebGPU and WebGL
Also big shoutout to @pmndrs Klipp camera toolkit for making this so easy to put together!

Another new demo on goodstuff 🕹️
@Doormat23 built this with PixiJS 3D, inspired by the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 special stages, using only Opus 5.5
Give it a go 👉 goodstuff.pixijs.io/mach-2/

Not bad from just a few prompts to Opus 5.5...
The visual effects AI can pull off are incredible compared to a few months ago, and it understands PixiJS 3D and WebGPU really well too 👀
Sign up to the closed beta and build something yourself!

PixiJS 3D just got a lot faster 🚀
Since the beta launch, WebGPU performance is up ~6x on average, and up to 30x in some scenes
A big part of that is benchy, a benchmarking tool we're building on top of @pmndrs labs and @endel's WebGL/WebGPU benchmarks
It provides a great s (Opus 5.5 in our case), so they can verify their own changes and keep finding improvements
There's still plenty of speed left to find...

Love seeing this 🩷
We've spent a lot of time on performance in PixiJS 3D, so it's great to see people getting the benefits in a real game
If you're interested, we're happy to share more about how we do it... let us know!

Fun story: I ported Super Typo Kart to @PixiJS new 3D renderer in closed beta... performance with webgpu is wonderful with it. I added a whole new track and kart to it: Update is now live on @wavedash wavedash.com/games/super-ty…

PixiJS 3D closed beta signup is now open 🎉
2D and 3D in one place, the PixiJS way!
Fast by default.
WebGPU first with WebGL fallback.
Drop in 3D like it was always there.
Closed beta for the next couple of weeks, then open source!

Been working with GPT 5.6 Sol to add frustum culling to our upcoming 3D renderer 👀
Culling will be automatic, so no setup required, just like our batching
Together, they let you render huge worlds without worrying about optimisation
Demo: 1 million blocks at 120fps

More PixiJS 3D testing 👀
Take any live 2D PixiJS content (sprites, text, graphics) and render it onto 3D geometry
Our goal is to make working between 2D and 3D as seamless as possible in our WebGPU/WebGL renderer
Let us know what features you'd like to see!

Following on from last week's GPT 5.5 experiments...
Did more experimenting with HTML-in-Canvas to create more interesting page transitions
Using our favourite animation library GSAP + the PixiJS Skills
Very impressed with how well GPT 5.5 can create WebGL/WebGPU shaders
