The conservatives should have the debt clock behind them in every presser moving forward.

Carney often makes the bizarre claim that his fantasy about joining the EU is all about Canadian “sovereignty.” I think the Conservatives have a good rebuttal to this: “Carney must guarantee no European taxes, no European regulations, and no European immigration rules.”

How about Mark Carney pays for his own veal escalope and beef tenderloin with demi-glace sauce for once?

Canada's economy has been flatlining for months.

It seems this so-called “financial genius” is only good at spending your money on himself.

Premier-designate Lorne Doerkson isn't backing off DRIPA.

"I'm going to repeal DRIPA, just to be completely clear about that."

He said it to CBC's Katie DeRosa after she told him First Nations leaders see the repeal plan as "a declaration of war." He says he is "completely ons and building those relationships."

The fight over B.C.'s Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act is coming to the legislature.

Jason Kenney, Canada's longest-serving immigration minister, says Ottawa hasn't fixed immigration.

"It's hard to overstate the degree to which the Trudeau government wrecked Canada's model immigration system," he told CPAC.

He says raising levels now "would be grossly using affordability is nowhere near solved. He also says corporate Canada always wants "more, more, more... cheaper labor," and that it's "the stakeholder group we should listen to last."

"Don't even think about raising levels at this point." #cdnpoli #immigration

On the debate stage October 14, David Eby warned British Columbians that the Conservatives were "committed to getting rid of the foreign buyers tax" and the speculation and vacancy tax.

Lorne Doerkson's answer was simple: "I will keep those in place."

Ten days later, he won a an interview with Global News, the premier-designate said he is committed to everything he campaigned on: "We're really committed to everything that I promised."

That settles it. The foreign buyers tax and the speculation tax stay, on Doerkson's own word.

Carney went to Montreal for his big EU summit. Europe had already dropped his "associate member" pitch from the draft declaration.

Pierre Poilievre asked the obvious: "Is this just another Seinfeld summit? A meeting about nothing."

Nine EU countries still haven't ratified the dy has. Poilievre asked if Carney would get them to sign, "let in our beef," and stop Europe's threatened carbon tariff.

He asked six times. Carney's House Leader Steven MacKinnon answered with sitcom insults and zero commitments.

MacKinnon: "This guy talks like Kramer."

Poilievre: "Everybody loves Kramer."

So is it just another big nothing burger?

Nine months. That's how long Canadian importers are waiting just to get an answer from Ottawa.
Conservative MP Frank Caputo called CBSA's CARM system what it is: a boondoggle. Auditor General Karen Hogan confirmed the agency ran short and had to pull money, about $80 million, get to keep it alive.
Caputo asked if that was taking from Peter to pay Paul. Hogan's answer: "Moving from the right pocket to the left pocket, yes."
One in three businesses needed help just to register. 4,000 requests have sat open for an average of 260 days. And the call centre fielding 19,000 calls a month? It doesn't even record them.
This is Liberal border management.

OneBC is here to stay. We’ll cheer on the BC Conservative government as they deliver on their promises and do the hard work needed to get our province back on track. But we will hold them to account if they start backpedaling on their promises or engage in liberal-style shenanigans.

$331 million. Expired, damaged, written off.

That's what Ottawa threw away from the national emergency stockpile in one year, while handing out just $27 million in supplies. Freezers weren't maintained. Drugs spoiled. The warnings came in 2022 and 2023, and nobody fixed it.
l plan blew $1.1 billion past budget, and Health Canada couldn't even see where the money went.

"The federal government is actively advocating against Cameco's technology in markets like Poland." That's Cameco CEO Tim Gitzel, under oath to MPs. His company bought the AP1000 reactor, "brought it to Canada, domiciled it here, it's 100% Canadian owned, and we hear that, well, Canada." Conservative MP Pat Kelly asked whether Ottawa is technology neutral. Gitzel's answer: "That just doesn't even make sense." #cdnpoli #nuclear #Cameco @cameconews @PatKelly_MP @WECNuclear @timhodgsonmt @CarolAnsteyMP @ctochor
