I'm ready for my Codex reset now @thsottiaux

A lot of devs are about to discover that knowing how to code isn't nearly as valuable as knowing how to identify a problem, build a solution and convince someone to pay for it.

The industry is shifting from code engineers to product engineers, whether you realize it or not.

Opus 5.5 would have built most of this in a day.

Today was my last day at the Chinese Communist Party.

I was responsible for approving Mbappé's memes.

Unfortunately, I misunderstood the assignment. Open to new diplomatic opportunities.

Today was my last day at Microsoft.

I was responsible for the 60,000 voluntary redundancies.

Unfortunately, I accidentally included myself in the spreadsheet.

Don't worry everyone. Microsoft offering 60k employees voluntary redundancy just means they'll finally have enough money to finally fix Windows.

I asked Codex to design some branding for my app and the brief was "tech meets gangster" and this is what it created. One of the worse things ever. You'd see this on the back of a lifted truck or something.

Just learned that Google is removing third-party email account support and aliases in January 2027. Wtf? This was such a good way to create new emails pairing it with Resend and being able to have them all inside the Gmail app and UI.

I'm seriously digging the branding that I've got cooking for my app. I usually don't like a lot of the stuff I create branding wise because I'm not a designer.

You can just build shit so easily now.

Working on Offset: a memory workbench for macOS and Windows. Find values, trace memory paths, build reusable tables, and export standalone control panels.

Started with "what if I made a memory editor?" and got a bit carried away.

NEOCLOUD
Pretty much.

As of the past few weeks, debt markets have almost entirely shut off access to money for any company that doesn’t have substantial revenue independent of AI data centers.

SpaceX closed $40B of debt for GPUs, but we’re investment grade and have Starlink & launch revenue.

That means the 200+ neoclouds are going to see guppy-level death and consolidation. Some will make it through, but not many.

Biggest underrated Codex feature is image gen. I love how I can build something and build branding for it too. I'm working on the sickest branding for a new app right now.

Despite the horrendous usage limits, you can't deny that Astra and other OpenAI models are pretty forgiving comparatively against Claude models which seem to have been restricted in the past few days around reverse engineering.

I think Anthropic are nerfing Opus 5.5 limits. First time since launch I've hit usage limits with it. This model felt endless, I used to have to use Fable to get near the limits. I guess it's over now.

Asked Codex to build a Windows version of the bridge app needed for controlling some hardware and because I am doing it on a Mac, it worked out it could test via Github and use the pipelines for a Windows environment 💀

This is one of the reasons I still heavily use Codex: the computer use is off the charts. I'm currently using it to build a desktop bridge for an app that fills a massive in demand market people are willing to pay for to control a hardware device.

I'm surprised PHP wasn't hacked sooner. The budget and team size is tiny. We brought this on ourselves. How is PHP not being supported by large companies that profit off it like @envato people tell smack about WordPress but it's one of the biggest sponsors.

I thought OpenAI fixed this and yet it keeps on happening a lot today. You can't trust Codex to run overnight because it'll probably hit this and just stop.

Hit 69 testers on my unreleased iOS app and 26 on my Android app. I've got a good feeling about it. Turns out most people use iOS, it's harder to find Android testers. Almost at 100 people testing, which is incredible.

Today was my last day at @AnthropicAI.

I spent over a year working on Claude Code and strongly believed in the mission.

Unfortunately, during a routine refactor, Claude identified my position as redundant and eliminated it.
Community note
This is a satirical post. The author has not worked at Anthropic. It parodies real farewell posts today from Claude Code team members Thariq (@trq212) and Anthony Morris (@amorriscode), who did leave after working on the product.

God created the universe in six days.

On the seventh, He rested.

On the eighth, He decided to rewrite it in Rust.

On the ninth, a 19yo with an anime profile picture told Him He was using the borrow checker incorrectly.

And that's why God invented Hell.

Years later, developers are still committing their API keys to public GitHub repositories.
