Getting my steps in with more amazing fall colors. It’s like a painting out here…

There’s always a Coach Tony costume… ALWAYS! 😂

There’s still room in our Nov. 21 JCU Prospect Camp!

NLCS MVP Jake Bauers shares how letting go of results helped him find a different level of freedom as a competitor.

"I think what changed for me this year was I stopped caring about results. I started caring about competing. I started caring about being in the moment and getting metimes, the biggest obstacle to performing at your best isn't a lack of preparation or ability.

It's the pressure you place on yourself to produce a particular outcome.

You become so concerned with what you want to happen that you lose touch with what the moment actually requires.

Any performer can unlock a new level when they learn how to be fully invested in the competition without becoming imprisoned by the outcome.

This sentence by Sigmund Freud never fails to hit hard:

“One day, in retrospect, the years of struggle will strike you as the most beautiful.”

JCU Softball had an amazing time working the Miracle League of Lake County games yesterday. Our players supported the athletes on the Orioles, Royals, Astros and Diamondbacks. Lots of smiles and high fives!

Very few places in the country have the @NFL lineage that @JohnCarrollU does. From personnel offices, to business operations, to coaches on the sidelines - Blue Streaks are excelling across the league. Our Jesuit education produces multi-dimensional professionals. Our athletic environment produces competitors. That's a great combination! #ItsaCarrollThing⚡️

So apparently a bunch of our freshman JCU Softball players teamed up and were a dominant force in the Streak Week dodge ball tournament!

Boom!! #LoveIt

So excited for this upcoming season!!!

Am I the only one that has noticed that it doesn’t just rain any more?

It’s always hellacious winds, torrential downpour and lightning. Every time!

Success is not linear.

After coaching a lot of very successful people, here's an unsexy truth:

A lot of success is learning to grind when it's boring.

Doing the work that is uninteresting, and you really don't want to do. If you expect all building to be exciting, you'll never make it.
