Coaching a kid on the floor is amazing. But coaching kids through LIFE is even better. Counseling & Coaching are synonymous to me. They both feed off of each other. Man I love it here! 💛🖤

This is awesome from Jon Scheyer

Toughness is the willingness to do what others won’t and the discipline to keep doing it.
Not once.
Not when it’s convenient.
Not only when someone is watching.
Every day.
That’s what separates the players who want it from the players willing to earn it.

Man Coaches are in for a treat with this! It has the capability to be a real game changer for your program. The ones who pay attention will benefit for sure.
Pretty fired up about this.

I spent 19 years coaching basketball, and there was NEVER enough time.

Practice plans, film, scouting, player development, staff meetings. The work never stops.

ONE MORE is about giving coaches some of that time back. Time you can spend with your players, your staff, or your family.

Appreciate @GBCALive giving me the opportunity to live demo ONE MORE this weekend.

You have to test it to trust it. That’s exactly what we’re going to do. 🏀

Game 1
@TheWelchyReport South Georgia Top 50
Team 2 - 58
Team 1 - 56

2028 Jaylan Knight hit the GW mid-range jumper to give Team 2 the win to open up gameplay at the South Georgia Top 50.

Down by 12 early, 2027 Jaylen Nelson went on a 9-0 scoring run by himself to bring his aylen Hampton did a lot of things well specifically rebounding to help win. Hampton looks the part of the best longterm prospect in the building.

2027 Jake Reid led the way for Team 1 in the narrow loss, great shooting and on-ball defense.

Game 3
@TheWelchyReport South Georgia Top 50
Team 1 - 49
Team 5 - 32

Dominant performance by Team 1 in the win over Team 5 led behind the 2027 Valdosta duo of Jake Reid & Shawn Evans. Reid once again showed his ability to shoot the ball and to play within the offense while Evans was downhill with ease. Found the open man when he could but finished strong through contact on multiple possessions.

For Team 5, 2027 Marigus Sampson really impressed with his offensive game on the inside & his ability to space the floor hitting 2 3pt FG's on kick-out passes.

In addition to Sampson, 2027 Roscoe Jones showed a lot of good things as well that had multiple coaches talking about his game.

Definitely was pleased with how dominant @ShawnE2027 was all day. And with how hard @JakeReid27 works day in & day out I expected nothing less than for him to shoot the laces off like he did. Great day for both!

There's an old African proverb:

Every morning, a gazelle wakes up knowing it must run faster than the lion, or it will die.
Every morning, a lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.

It doesn't matter if you're the lion or the gazelle.
When better be running.

Life doesn't reward those who sit idle. Whether you're chasing a dream or fighting to survive, motion is non-negotiable.

Stop waiting for perfect conditions. Stop waiting for permission. The sun is up. Start running.

Training has now become who has the best looking drills, when I started in 2014 it was about the importance of the drill and how it’ll translate to the game, now you get kids by how unique your drills look they don’t care if they work or not smh sad

Basketball has a lying problem. Everybody says they want to win. Until winning means fewer shots, harder defense, a smaller role, passing up good for great, and cheering when you thought you’d play more. Everybody wants the trophy. Few want the truth it takes to earn it.

Head coaches: Find an assistant coach who will drop everything to help a player:

- Get more shots up
- Watch film
- Study for a test
- Write a paper
- Do an extra lift
- Or just listen

Your scouting report won’t work if your players don’t feel supported.

“There’s nothing old school about holding each other accountable, having an incredible work ethic, being incredibly competitive, being willing to sacrifice for the betterment of the group."

Calling discipline and accountability “old school” is often just an excuse to avoid them.
