I’m convinced a lot of baseball players show up to events because Mom and Dad want them there—not because they want to be there.

How do I know? Their CARE LEVEL gives them away.

I’ve seen too many players this summer:

Shirts untucked on the field while event is going on.

Walking on, off, and around the field.

Third basemen making no effort to block an off-target throw from the outfield.

Players completely checked out between reps—talking about last night, their plans afterward, or anything except what’s happening on the field.

None of these things require talent - They require pride. Awareness. Intentionality.

Coaches and evaluators don’t grade your intentions - they grade what they can observe.

Your CARE LEVEL tells us whether baseball matters to you—or only to your parents.

Keeping this contained for 24 hours been way too hard!!!

COOKIE TO THE SHOW!!!!!🍪

So proud of my guy @Alex_Cook_15!
From 8th grade to now… it’s been a pleasure to watch you grow and now it’s incredible to see you realize the dream!

LET. HIM. COOK.

Are Drop 5 Bats About to Ruin High School Baseball?

We tested the current -3 BBCOR standard against the -5 USA bats... (thread)

Great video that does a great job of explaining the new rules and comparing various bats. I’ll be the first to admit that I, like many others, was worried we were headed back to the BESR era. Looks like I was wrong, thankfully. Guess we’ll see for sure in 2028.

I sent this to every hitter I train. (You should do the same.)

It's a phenomenal example of what it actually takes and what it looks like.

Watch it. Save it. Send it to your hitters.

2 yrs ago we had a 6’4” hit 14 HRs w/ a 34/31 BBCOR

That same year we had a 5’4” 7th Grader on our MS team hit HRs using a -5 USA Approved bat.

If the 6’4” was using the -5, not only is he hitting 25+ HRs but he’s averaging 105+ exit velos.

This is going to be a safety issue.
