I feel this is relevant now more than ever:
If you can't stay calm when a stock you own drops 20%…
investing in individual stocks might not be for you.

Too many investors have shiny object syndrome.
They keep looking for the “next big thing.”
And forget that the old big thing has a lot left to give.

$RACE’s consistency is INSANE 😳
Look at their year-on-year revenue and earnings growth from 2022-2025.
Would you ever invest in a super car brand?

Stock charts are almost USELESS for investors.
If you are a short term trader, a crypto trader or swing trader. Ignore this. I’m sure charts are most of your work.
But if you’re a long term investor… they mean very little.
Watching charts on your investments are fun. And I do it too. But we wary of making decisions based on them.
Charts are good for identifying how far below all time highs etc a company is. But as far as for entires? Ignore them.
A candlestick being on a “trend line”, or “support” etc has no bearing on the quality of business it represents.
Even if it may have a short term impact, if the business behind the chart is poorly run, has terrible finances or has no competitive advantage they may struggle regardless of the quality of “chart setup.”
A reminder that the business equals the chart. But the chart does NOT equal the business.

IMPORTANT notes for investors too lazy to read the whole breakdown:
- Google’s moat = good
- Model = nice and relatively simple in a time of madness
- Finances = among the best in tech right now
- Value = I have it trading 7-10% below it’s actual intrinsic value as a business
Every investor should research on their own. But I like this stock and will be watching closely next week if the price continues to drop.

Ignore the price - give your own value
Ignore charts - focus on the business
Ignore social media - think for yourself
Ignore days - think in decades
Ignore opinions - focus on truth
99% of investing is ignoring the stuff that doesn’t matter and focusing on the stuff that does.
