In 2005, Oneida shut the flatware factory in Sherrill, New York.
A town that had made silverware for MORE THAN 100 YEARS was supposed to be finished.
Two men refused to let that happen.
Their names are Matt Roberts and Greg Owens.
Roberts had managed that factory. Owens was anufacturing manager. When the company ended U.S. production, they bought the plant and the equipment and reopened it the NEXT DAY as Sherrill Manufacturing.
They did not have a giant rescue fund.
They did not have a Hollywood ending waiting.
They had a building, some machines, and a workforce that knew how to make forks, knives, and spoons.
At first they kept making product for Oneida.
Then Oneida pulled the remaining American work and sent it overseas.
That should have been the end.
It wasn’t.
They took government flatware contracts to keep the lights on. In 2010 they filed Chapter 11. They sold unused equipment. They sold space they could no longer fill. They leased back only the part of the factory they could still run.
They came out of bankruptcy in 2013.
Then they did the thing that saved the company.
They built their own brand: Liberty Tabletop.
They sold 18/10 stainless flatware straight to customers who wanted tableware MADE IN THE UNITED STATES.
Not through a department store that could drop them overnight.
Direct.
Today Liberty Tabletop is the only company still manufacturing stainless steel flatware in America.
Same town.
Same trade.
U.S. steel.
About 70 jobs.
They did not bring back 2,000 workers. Nobody did.
What they saved was the last line.
If you want American-made forks and spoons, this is the factory that still makes them.
Support Liberty Tabletop.
THIS is what keeping manufacturing in America actually looks like. 🇺🇸

🌞 Blessed Sunday, friends! ☀️
This Lord’s Day, let these words from the King James Bible fill your heart with hope, love, and light:
**Matthew 7:16 (KJV)**
“Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?”
Words are easy. Fruit is not. Jesus said we would know people by what grows from their lives — not by what they claim, but by what they actually do. A good tree brings forth good fruit. Love is shown in action. Faith is shown in deeds. Kindness, honesty, mercy, and help are the fruit that others can see and taste. First John 3:18 says it plainly: let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. People should know who we belong to by how we live, not only by what we say.
May the Lord help us bear fruit that honors Him today — fruit that speaks louder than words and shines His light into the lives around us. Wishing you a peaceful and blessed Lord’s Day. ❤️🇺🇸

Remember that “Champion for Crime Victims Award” State Rep @JCherry4MI handed to Prosecutor David Leyton?
Leyton stood there and said the trophy belonged to his entire staff and victim advocates.
For how they “assist families.”
You can read their self-praise right here:
geneseecountyview.com/articles/burto…
In reality, that same office labeled me “difficult.”
They froze our family out of mandatory tracking notices for my brother’s killer.
Michigan’s Crime Victim’s Rights Act exists for a reason.
The felon’s deadline to ask the Michigan Supreme Court ends TODAY.
Court of Appeals already rejected his claims for “lack of merit” on August 28 (Docket No. 381537).
Meanwhile, his prison security just spiked to a Level IV high-security lockdown.
@MLive — This is the real “Pure Michigan” justice system.
Politicians exchanging trophies on the courthouse steps.
While a grieving family has to fight the state for basic legal updates.
We will not be silenced.

**PURE MICHIGAN? ***
This is not about vengeance.
This is about keeping a repeat offender from hurting someone else.
An 8-time felon hit my brother’s truck on Clio Road at 88 to 92 miles an hour in a 35 mile an hour zone. He was video-chatting a 14-year-old. He had drugs in rash he told her not to call 911.
My brother choked to death on his own blood while holding his wife’s hand and telling her everything would be okay. She will never walk again. She will never be able to care for herself.
The original prosecutor bound him over on second-degree murder. A different prosecutor took the case and offered a plea to reckless driving causing death. According to my brother’s stepson, the family was told the decision on a plea was not theirs. I’ve been told the same thing directly — Michigan law gives victims the right to be consulted, not the right to control a plea. The sentence was 7 to 30 years. He could be out in April 2029.
Weeks earlier he had been pulled over for no license and bad plates while already on parole. The system left him with his keys. The police also destroyed the vehicles months before he was finally arrested.
The family was treated as an inconvenience. The arraignment was delayed for a year. When we tried to watch on video after taking time off work, the feed was never turned on. After the hearing was rescheduled because of the court’s own technical problems, the judge signed off by telling the defendant “Good luck.”
My brother’s stepson told me a victims advocate described me as “difficult” after I spoke up about how the family was being treated. Michigan’s Crime Victim’s Rights Act requires notice to siblings of a deceased victim. We had to fight for basic information.
At sentencing he said he was sorry. He said he would take my brother’s place. A man who is truly sorry does not spend years trying to undo the plea.
The Court of Appeals rejected the application for lack of merit. The deadline to ask the Michigan Supreme Court ends this week.
He has an end date.
Our family does not.
My brother’s grandson was six when this happened. He told the family he wanted the driver to kill him too so he could be with his grandpa.
The system failed my brother, his wife, our family, and the people of Michigan.
Is this the kind of justice system of Pure Michigan people expect?

Why are we importing so much?
America boasts the world’s richest fisheries and hardest-working fishermen, yet imports most of its seafood while our own domestic businesses struggle.
President Trump is changing that, putting American fisheries and consumers FIRST. 🐟🇺🇸

🚨SHOTS FIRED: TROOPERS TAKE OUT SEMI'S TIRES AT HIGHWAY SPEED
Arkansas officers chased a fleeing 18-wheeler down I-30 and opened fire on its tires at highway speed. 6 to 7 rifle shots. Sparks. Smoke. Radio traffic: "Shots fired."
The driver is from Florida, a state known for improperly issuing commercial driver's licenses. The motor carrier is from Illinois, a state known for non-domiciled CDL drivers and chameleon carriers.
Was this one of the non-domiciled drivers? x.com/LRHN_Cash/stat…

For anybody that sees this post; I'm desperate. I have a friend that has stage 4 metastatic melanoma that has spread to her brain. I know this is a long shot, but please pray for her. Insurance has just denied her to continue immunotherapy. Her name is Diane. Thank you so much in advance.

Why don’t we see more news stories about small American manufacturers opening or expanding?
Because most of them aren’t chasing headlines. They’re too busy grinding. Ordering materials. Fixing machines. Training the new hire. Making payroll. Shipping product so their customers stay happy and their people stay employed. The big announcements make the news.
The quiet ones—family shops adding a second shift, a guy who quit his job to start making something here instead of importing it, the shop that just hired three more people—those don’t get press releases. They just get the work done.
That’s who keeps American manufacturing alive. Not the ribbon cuttings. The ones showing up every day so their families and employees have something solid. We would love to tell their stories too. The ones that never make the headlines. The shop that just hired two more people. The family that kept the lights on through the slow months. The owner who’s too busy shipping orders to write a press release.
If you’re making it here and you’ve got a story, we want to hear it. Send it our way. We’ll put it in front of people who are already looking for something made in America.
That’s the whole point.

There should be no discrimination for hiring Americans. Anyone think the settlement should have been higher?
Major win for protecting U.S. workers! Instacart has agreed to a $5 million settlement for discrimination during PERM recruitment. Thank you @andrealucasEEOC for your partnership in getting a great result and sending a message that this administration holds companies accountable.
