Six major Canadian banks - @BMO , @cibc , National Bank of Canada, @RBC , @scotiabank , and @TD_Canada - announced earlier today that they're exploring tokenized deposit solutions.

It's great to finally see Canada's banks taking initiative in the digital asset space, as it's been long overdue. Bringing bank deposits on-chain creates a foundational settlement layer for Canadian capital markets. Building programmable payment infrastructure on top of it will unlock the next generation of financial products and experiences that consumers will increasingly expect, whether those consumers are humans or AI agents.
