The current Liberal government reminds me of one of those old school mystic con artists.

They get up in front of a crowd and promise a miracle. All it will take is a little more faith. A little more time. A little more money. And when it doesn’t work, they say “If only we had more faith, I could have done it.”

The Liberals put on the same show for Canadians. Just a little more time. Just a little more taxes. Just a little more debt, and everything will be fixed.

But just like the con artist, the issue isn’t the crowd and what they’re willing to give up to see something happen. The problem is the performer themselves, refusing to be honest with the people they are trying to persuade.

Big spending and big government is not the solution. It in fact is the problem that we must fix. The credit card is maxed out and the clock is ticking on Canada’s economic decline.

The jig is up. Either pull off the miracle or get off the stage.

Bill C-39 is far-reaching legislation with significant implications for Canadians. It deserves proper scrutiny — not a rushed review.

I moved a motion to give the committee an additional eight hours to hear from witnesses, accept more written submissions and allow more time to clause-by-clause consideration.

The Liberals voted it down.

Liberal MP John-Paul Danko's response? “HARD NO.”

Apparently, the Liberals would rather rush through a complex piece of legislation than take the time to get it right.

The Liberal government contributed $1 billion to the Climate Investment Funds—Accelerating Coal Transition investment program.

According to today’s Auditor General report, only 1% of that funding has gone towards the program…over five years later. The rest is sitting in global banks and Global Affairs Canada has done limited reporting on where the spent funds have gone and why.

So can Canadians get their money back?

Will the Liberals use Bill C-39 to expropriate property for Alto before it's even approved?

I asked Minister of Transport Steven MacKinnon.

Shame on Mark Carney for forcing struggling single moms and small business owners in Canada to pay taxes for foreign aid to a place controlled by a terrorist dictatorship that refuses elections.

Cut foreign aid. Put Canadians first for once.

Three years ago today, the world witnessed the deadliest attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust. Families were torn apart, children kidnapped, women assaulted, and the elderly slaughtered: some 809 civilians were killed, while 252 would endure captivity as hostages.

In January, the last body of the hostages killed was finally returned following the return of the last living hostage last year. The return offered some closure to the conflict as the last body was laid to rest, but we know the scourge of antisemitism is not over.

The hatred that fueled October 7th did not remain on foreign shores. Right here in Canada, far too many synagogues, Jewish businesses and institutions have been the targets of harassment and hate.

This is not, and cannot become, normal. Conservatives will always fight against antisemitism and all forms of hatred: protecting our schools, communities and places of worship so that Canadians of all faiths can live in peace and security.

Today, alongside our Jewish friends and neighbours, we remember those who lost their lives that day. May their memory be a blessing.

The NGO that published this report received over $40 million of your tax dollars last year from the Liberal government.

Do you think it was a good investment?

Stelco's partial shutdown will cost about 350 good jobs.

Every one of them is a family that has to rethink the mortgage, the groceries, and come up with a plan for the next year.

That same week, the Liberals announced they will be spending $33 million for BlueOrchard's climate nvestment fund that lends in emerging markets around the world.

The Liberal government spends tens of millions for climate funds abroad, but it still can't present a plan to keep steel jobs in Canada.

We need to put Canadian workers first. Jobs at home are the priority.

But there’s a branded sticker on Housing Minister Gregor Robertson’s iPad. Can the minister explain who made it—and who paid?

Bond yields jumped again this week.

You won't feel it or notice it right away. But this has major implications for Canadians. Higher yields raise what the federal government pays to refinance its debt. This means that interest costs still go up, even if the Bank of Canada holds rrowing costs are going to quietly climb for families, small businesses, and mortgage renewals.

Mark Carney can't ignore the debt for much longer. Real consequences are not on the way, they have already arrived and are seeping into Canadians’ pocketbooks.

Canadians have always been proud to help others in need. But they have a right to question this announcement.

Mark Carney has committed $100 million without getting any assurances the funding will reach those who need it and that it will not be redirected to Hamas, a listed What safeguards are in place to ensure this money reaches people in need and not terrorist networks? Are there any conditions tied to this funding, including the rejection of terror and better governance?

Canadians expect their hard-earned tax dollars to be spent wisely and in an accountable manner. There is no indication that any accountability mechanisms function in the region and this means this money is unlikely to achieve the desired results.

Mark Carney could not be more out of touch.

With Canadians missing meals and mortgage payments, and days before he addresses the European Parliament (instead of the Canadian Parliament) we learn in a foreign newspaper of secret talks to make Canada an "Associate Member" of the European Union.

This is not about diversifying trade: we have had tariff-free trade with Europe for over a decade. They would buy more of our goods today if the Liberal government would get out of the way and permit mines, pipelines, LNG plants to produce and ship them.

Canadians deserve answers: Is the WSJ report true about associate membership in the EU?

If so, will European border policies apply in Canada, further overwhelming our immigration system while our youth can’t find homes?
Will Canadian waitresses struggling with rent have to pay tax dollars to the bloated EU bureaucracy?

Will Canadian small businesses be buried under the red tape of Eurocrats that have never met a Canadian entrepreneur?

All questions I’d ask in Parliament, but it is shuttered.

And one more: who decides for Canada?

The Welland welder did not elect a Eurocrat to regulate our steel. The Saskatchewan farmer and the Atlantic fisherman did not choose a Brussels agrifood regulator that has never even seen our prairies or coasts.

We will NEVER be the 51st U.S. state. And we will NEVER be the 28th EU state.

We are Canadians. This is our home, our freedom, our sovereignty, our people.

Now and forever.

The Prime Minister promised free trade in Canada by Canada Day last year. It was all show and no go.

We still have federal barriers to interprovincial trade a year and a half after he promised one Canadian economy.

He not only broke his promise, he also hiked taxes and piled on n liquor producers.

Canadians should be free to buy Canadian. So let’s pass MP Dan Albas’ bill to allow shipment of 🇨🇦 alcohol across provincial borders, and back the Conservative Economic Action Plan to lower taxes, cut red tape, and boost investment: conservative.ca/cpc/free-trade…
