Google really knows how to turn its biggest advantage into its biggest weakness

Imagine building an AI coding tool people rely on, then pushing an update that replaces the entire experience and breaks their workflow

That's the Antigravity situation right now

Google doesn't need better marketing

It needs to stop making developers regret trusting its products

Linux users, be honest

What made you switch to Linux?

1. Windows getting worse
2. Privacy concerns
3. Customization
4. Better development workflow
5. Older PC running like garbage
6. Curiosity
7. Someone on Reddit convinced me
8. I use Arch btw

And for those still on Windows…

What's stopping you from switching?

Unpopular opinion: local AI will become more important than cloud AI

Not because local models will always be smarter

But because people will eventually get tired of subscriptions, usage limits, privacy concerns, and companies deciding what their AI can do

Would you switch to a local model if it was 90% as good as Claude?

Claude Pro costs $20/month
Claude Max costs $100/month

And somehow, the biggest AI coding tool users are stuck choosing between hitting limits or paying 5x more

Anthropic needs a $50 plan

Or is making you frustrated enough to upgrade the entire business model?

What if the next big leap in AI doesn't come from building bigger models but from getting multiple specialized models to work together?

That's the idea behind distributed cognition

Instead of intelligence being controlled by a handful of labs, imagine a network of models working collectively

A very different vision for the future of AI
Today distributed cognition exits out of stealth with backing by Verdict Capital.

Our mission is to replicate humanity's collective intelligence.

Most of today's AI power is held in the hands of a few, who can choose what you're allowed to ermitted to do.

We stand on three substantially different foundational beliefs:
- You shouldn't ask permission for intelligence.
- Superintelligence will be a distributed collective.
- Humans are not meant to be relegated to a permanent underclass.

If we don't distribute intelligence, nobody will.
