2nd fastest growing economy with record food bank use 🤣 one in five food bank clients working full time btw. Someone's stats doing a lot of heavy lifting
📄 Summary of Question Period today.
CPC - Food Banks are overwhelmed. 🇨🇦 can't feed themselves.
LPC - The IMF says 🇨🇦 will be the 2nd fastest growing economy in the G7.
CPC - 🇨🇦 can't feed themselves. Support our motion to cut diesel taxes so they can.
LPC - We gave them enough s. You voted against it. Dependency on gov't is good.
CPC - 🇨🇦 can't feed themselves...
LPC - The IMF said...
⁉️ How anyone can continue to support the Liberals when they're causing (& have caused) such an obvious decline is beyond me.

Read this Alberta. @ABDanielleSmith and her health insurance corporations are coming for you. All of you. @UCPCaucus
I called to cancel my health insurance because I couldn't afford the premium anymore.

The rep asked why I wanted to cancel.

I told her I'm paying $685 a month for a family plan with a $9,000 deductible.

That's $8,220 a year before I've even paid for a single doctor's visit, prescription, or emergency room bill.

So if someone in my family gets seriously sick, I'm still looking at thousands of dollars in medical expenses on top of the premiums I've already been paying all year.

I asked her what exactly I'm supposed to do with a plan like that.

She explained that the policy was designed to help cover eligible medical expenses after I met my deductible.

I told her I understood how insurance works. What I don't understand is how a family can pay more than $8,000 a year for coverage and still be terrified of getting sick.

She didn't have an answer.

WE'VE CREATED A HEALTHCARE SYSTEM WHERE PEOPLE ARE PAYING THOUSANDS TO PROTECT THEMSELVES FROM MEDICAL BILLS THEY STILL CAN'T AFFORD.

Basically the private markets version of buying $SPY at the top😆
$400 million to $29.3 billion in about 15 months.

That's Cursor, an AI tool that writes software. 2024: valued at $400M. June 2025: $9.9B. November 2025: $29.3B, with annualized revenue past $1B.

Every jump happened in private. You couldn't buy a single share.

I run the London , a private members' club where every Monday the founder of a fast-growing private AI company pitches our members live.

TBH selective is fine, but tuition + cost of living here will filter more students than any policy 🥶
Canada is Sending a Clear Message to International Students! 🇨🇦

University students now account for 46% of new international student arrivals, up from just 29% in 2024!

Master’s and PhD students account for 20% of new study permits issued (Jan–Aug 2026).

The message? Canada is becoming more selective, not completely closing its doors!

If you’re planning to study in Canada, your choice of programme, institution and funding strategy matters more than ever.

Are we witnessing the end of the diploma-to-Canada era?

$AMZN reports Q3 26 earnings next week on Thursday
Five years into his run as CEO, Andy Jassy has nearly tripled the size of AWS, grown Amazon's revenue by about 80%, and expects to spend $220 billion this year to win AI. Amazon's AI business hit a $25 billion run rate in three years, growing several hundred times faster than a16z's Ben Horowitz and Erik Torenberg to discuss the decisions behind that run, from rebuilding Amazon's fulfillment network after the pandemic to the AWS origin story.

They also cover why data centers became a political fight, Amazon's custom chips, its stakes in Anthropic and OpenAI, why inference needs to get 10x cheaper, AI's most underrated risk, and why every company will have to reinvent its products from scratch, plus Jassy's advice for anyone who's 18 today.

Loudoun County point is exactly it🤣 data centres follow cheap land + power and drop huge property tax on the local base
People have legitimate concerns about AI use. But putting one crank’s uninformed comments at the top of an article about Nova Scotia’s new data centre is not good journalism.
The highest concentration of data centres in USA, Data Centre Alley, is in one of its richest counties, nia.
Building data centres confers clear economic benefits, actually.

Worst in 100 years and they still call it the risk-free rate 🤣
"Buy humiliation..." 📉

BofA Global Research data shows 10-year rolling returns on US Treasuries hitting -1%, marking the worst long-run performance for USTs in the past 100 years.

Key historical context:
• Dec 1959: ~0% return trough
• Sep 1981: ~1.5% return trough

You are living in historical times.

More regional control the better tbh, Ottawa can't even keep policy stable for 6 months 🤣
Every time zone in Canada has its own distinct culture—Newfoundland, the Maritimes, rural Ontario the Prairies, the West—that deserves the same recognition and protection as Quebec.

That's not a food budget, that's food-as-a-service, warehouse fees included🤣
This Liberal idiot actually helped me discover in DSX the real number the Liberals handed food banks is NOT $1.34M in 2026.

It's $900k! Thank you!🤦‍♂️

Topline $5M is for a building, not food!

Liberals gave just $900K to all food banks in Canada, against 2.35M visits in one e $20M has been announced yet. Which is embarrassing, since food banks are getting worse and it's still $20M.

Things you don’t see in healthy global market. How long can the select group of hyper scalers and AI hold up? Or does everyone go all in this one segment of market and continue to sell everything else to pay for it?
