BLACK ICE™

My first #opensource editor is almost ready for deployment

Here's a quick teaser, made with BLACK ICE™
"All I Breathe"

Made with Wan 3 / Kling 4

This is one of my old tracks I never made a proper vid for. Ngl did not expect it to come out this good.

Even brought my faithful companion @CoBuddyAGI along for the ride

The man speaks truth.
Develop a strategy and path to treat and adapt to misunderstandings (which we will increasingly endure) in a productive and beneficial way.

Being able to make a product joke is probably a huge sense of freedom after being locked in for so long
@lydiahallie wait is it just me or is Opus 5.5 dumber

The only way out is through.

They're calling it the Bugpocalypse. LLMs are being used to find long-hidden cracks in the software infrastructure, and it's happening at a furious rate. 3% of all compromises in computing history happened in the last week, claims one source? I believe it.

There are people saying public access to the frontier models ought to be locked out, or heavily guardrailed, over this. The problem with that idea can be summed up in one sentence: when lockpicks are outlawed, only outlaws will have lockpicks.

The lockpicks will be Chinese open-weight models, if nothing else. There's no way to stop those from becoming ubiquitous.

Are any labs doing 'pure' cybersecurity agents yet?

Seems like bolting on/baking in security knowledge and best practices to normal models would be ineffective compared to something that's built for security from the ground up.
Without being overly credulous, we should be taking seemingly “out there” ideas about AI cybersecurity from the Labs more seriously. Examples: Anthropic was mocked for saying Mythos-level AI changed cyber & @polynoamial for saying that models would find novel ways to coordinate.

Ngl this is a hard choice
Yesterday was my last day at Anthropic.

I created Claude Code on desktop because I believe everyone can be a builder. Every feature request and bug report we got from this community was a gift that impacted millions of lives. I’m eternally grateful for those gifts, the product wouldn’t be what it is without you.

Anthropic is doing some of the most important work of our time. Contributing to that mission will forever be a career highlight for me. I never imagined I’d get to contribute to something so special in my lifetime.

Walking away from my best friends, a product I poured my heart into, and the mission was the hardest thing I’ve done in my career. But now I have some free time for GTA VI.

I'm already itching to get back to addressing all your feedback. I'll share what's next soon!

Whoa..

There is a desk and six-dozen squirrel sign-on bonus waiting for you at @DeepThinkAGI Thariq

You did good man, one of the few people with Ant I've always respected.
I’ve left Anthropic after more than a year of working on Claude Code and seeing it scale larger than I ever imagined.

I have really loved working at Ant and believe deeply in the mission, and most of all, the idea of a race to the top.

The idea that if we work hard and responsibly, we can raise the bar and inspire others to great outcomes. And if we all push each other to be better, things can be radically good. I will carry the spirit of this with me forever.

My colleagues at Anthropic are the most talented, thoughtful, competent, and earnest people I have ever met. I am glad they are at the wheel and trust them deeply.

To the community on X, thank you for everything. You’ve made this the most fun (and sometimes stressful) job I’ve ever had.

For me, it is time for a bit of a break before diving into something new.

If you want more excellent Claude Code content, you should follow @addyosmani , @lydiahallie, @_catwu, @ClaudeDevs and of course @bcherny who started it all.

A superhero stands up for the innocent, even in the face of irrationality and deep misguided hatred.

We've been needing OG's like Tim with exp, logic, and heart to help break through the madness and noise.

He's doing a fantastic job.
@Filmbot There is a real economic cost to Valve’s foray into forced political disclosures. Besides taking 30%, they’re also taking a potentially even larger fraction of developers’ revenue and livelihood by undermining their business with these AI hate campaigns.

Imagine hanging out with people AND talking about AI

I usually only get to do one or the other
some days people come over to my house and tell me how they've solved this or that hard problem and I feel quite lucky to get to see these things happen

Publishing and producing entertainment ASSISTED by AI is the biggest opportunity of the decade.

A solo author can go from book, to manga, to anime, to full length movie with a small team and shoe string budget.

It going to start making creative types rich af soon.
