Just saw You Can See Everything. I cannot believe he got a Collective Soul song in it, was so happy and pissed off because I’ve been trying to sneak that into movie/tv shows I’ve worked on for a decade

Tik tok dancing doesn’t bring folk into theatres
At a time when the box office is rebounding, and embracing auteur-driven fare (i.e. Christopher Nolan’s near $1.8B grossing The Odyssey) as well as originality (a three-hour documentary about a delusional, scandalous tech titan called You Can See Everything), the star studded ams starring Klara and the Sun failed to shine with a $701K domestic opening last weekend. The movie, booked at 880 locations, posted a theater average that was less than $800.

Movies are back! TV on the other hand is in the worst place it’s ever been in it’s history, even the giant successful shows like The Pitt or Widows Peak are hollow husks, numbers that are comparable to forgettable shit like Blue Bloods & Castle from a decade ago
SAG-AFTRA is doing damage control as the actors’ union is forced to confront how the ongoing domestic production decline has crippled its membership.
The union revealed some sobering numbers over the weekend during the national board’s in-person plenary, including the fact that less than 1% of its members will so far stand to benefit from the bonus distribution fund that the above-the-line guilds pushed for during the 2023 negotiations with the AMPTP deadline.com/2026/10/sag-af…

I still have no idea what he’s saying “we dooont need vital care?”
Released in 1996 as the second single from Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, “1979” became the Smashing Pumpkins' biggest American hit, reaching No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on both the Modern Rock Tracks and Mainstream Rock Tracks charts. The album was × Platinum in the United States. “1979” was almost left off the album: producer Flood gave Corgan a final deadline to complete the unfinished song or remove it from the record. Corgan went home, finished the lyrics that night, and returned the next day with a new demo that convinced Flood to keep it.
Billy Corgan wrote the track as a nostalgic reflection on adolescence and the transition into adulthood. Although the title refers specifically to the year Corgan was 12, the song is less a literal autobiography than an idealised reflection on what it felt like to be young.
