Building a challenge with my own rules at @carrotfunding

The options
• Program: 1 Phase (10% target) or 2 Phase (5%, then 10%)
• Size: $5k, $10k, $20k, $50k, $100k
• Max/daily loss pair: 3/3, 6/3 or 8/4
• Profit split: 60, 80 or 90%
• Lifetime payout cap: none, 10% or 20%
its own fixed price.
Example from Carrot’s published configs (2 Phase, 6%/3%, 80% split, no cap):
$10k → $25
$50k → $149
$100k → $309
Same rules at $100k but 1 Phase with 3%/3% → $549.

Sample build: a swing trader
$50k · 2 Phase · 6% max / 3% daily · 80% split · no cap→ $149

Why: wider max loss gives room for positions held over days. Two phases mean a 5% first target instead of 10%. No cap means no lifetime limit on payouts.

Trade offs to weigh a tighter 3%/3% pair leaves less room for drawdown. A payout cap or a lower split changes what you’d keep if funded.
No setup makes passing easier on its own. Pick the rules that match how you already trade.

Fees shown are Carrot Funding’s published prices as of today and can change; the configurator shows the live fee before checkout.

How the two loss limits work in a @carrotfunding challenge, per the current rulebook 🧵
Both are checked against equity (open P&L included). Touch either one and the account is breached. Here’s how they differ 👇

Maximum Loss: static in the challengeStarting balance × (1 − max losspair → limit at $94,000.
It doesn’t move with profits. Up $4k or down $4k, it’s still $94k for both Phase 1 and Phase 2.

Daily Loss Limit: rolling 24hA fixed amount (3% or 4% of starting balance) below your highest closed balance of the last 24h. No midnight reset.Closed balance hits $104k → daily limit = $101k. Floating down $3k from there is a breach.

Whichever limit is higher is the one that bites. In that example: daily $101k vs max $94k → $101k applies.
Your % depends on the pair you chose: 3%/3%, 6%/3% or 8%/4% (max/daily). Check your own configuration.

Funded accounts are differentThe daily limit carries over, but Max Loss is NOT static once funded. It becomes a “Loss Floor” that rises with your best closed balance (withdrawals counted) and stops at your starting balance.

Been working on a little animated series about @legiondotcc. Here's the first episode.

A bit of Roman history, a bit of creative storytelling, and the idea behind what Legion stands for.

You don't get in because of who you are or how early you show up. You get in because you've has to.

More episodes coming.

Vangrid Agents are almost here! 👀

I've been following @vangrid_io for a while, and I'm pretty excited about this one.

Vangrid Agents aren't just another NFT sitting in your wallet. They're soulbound identities that actually boost your captures on the grid.

I like the idea of having an identity tied to your contributions rather than something you can simply trade away.

The reveal is set for October 30 on @opensea, and I can't wait to see what these Agents look like

Anyone else planning to mint one? 👀
Vangrid Agents mint begins in 24h.

The true potential of blockchain technology lies not merely in decentralization, but in access to reliable and verifiable information. Through zkTLS, Primus enables users to prove the accuracy of off chain data without exposing their sensitive information. This collaboration with ings verifiable web data into prediction markets, paving the way for new use cases within decentralized finance.

I believe this approach will create significant opportunities, particularly in the realms of private credit and on chain finance. In the future blockchain ecosystem, the core value will not just be access to data, but the ability to trust that data while maintaining privacy. Primus and Cournot are bringing together key components of this vision.

Trustworthy onchain decisions start with verifiable evidence. With zkTLS, Primus enables applications to verify the authenticity of offchain data while preserving user privacy.

Together with @CournotProtocol, we’re bringing verifiable web evidence to prediction markets and ties for private credit and onchain finance. We believe this is an important step toward a more private and verifiable onchain ecosystem.

Imagine owning an NFT that doesn’t just represent something in your wallet but is connected to an AI agent designed to interact with DeFi.

That’s one of the ideas I’m exploring with @meetmotes.

Think about it.

You have an NFT linked to a dedicated agent identity and smart at the agent is allowed to do, set the limits, and fund its smart account.

Within those boundaries, the agent is designed to support activities like authorized swaps and other supported DeFi strategies.

The interesting part for me is the shift from simply holding a digital asset to potentially using it as an identity for onchain automation.

But there’s something worth paying attention to.

An agent being capable of executing a strategy doesn’t automatically mean that strategy is profitable or safe.

Execution, risk management, and actual utility still matter.

And I think that’s where projects like Motes will eventually have to prove their value.

Not just by showing what AI agents can do, but by demonstrating why people would want to use them.

BREAKING: Binance has been hacked with wallets across the Ethereum, Bitcoin, and TRON networks seeing outflows of -$5.7 billion.

The hack includes $1.45 billion worth of Bitcoin and $875 million worth of ETH.

If confirmed, this would mark the biggest hack in crypto history.

We expect more information shortly.

Bitcoin is the hardest asset for a leverage design. 2Factor is proving its own there first.

Most leverage either gets liquidated or decays, so it stays short-term. At Bitcoin's volatility, near 60%, the band where compounding favours the holder closes early.

@2FactorFinance with Coinbase to bring Kelly-optimized leverage onchain, a great fit for tokenized stocks. Its BTC markets are live on testnet.

What the hard case shows:

• BTC's band closes early, so the junior targets about 1.33x
• Equities leave room past 3x
• Any asset with a positive long-run drift fits

I joined the Points Program. Marks follow actions, never balances:

• Social activity
• Education
• Referrals

Marks have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are no claim on any asset. Season 1 closes at launch. Ten accounts then share 1 BTC, from 18.2% at rank 1 to 1.8% at rank 10.

My link is below. Take a seat, then reply with the action you will tackle first: points.2factor.finance/r/ti770231

Should a design be judged on its easiest asset or its hardest?

Bakmak isteyene: ethos.to/GchH9B

Another move from @injective's Trench Treasury🥷💙

This time, they've acquired 5% of @runupdotfun's $RUNNER supply.

What I find interesting is how RunUp connects Solana users with $INJ. They can launch tokens paired with INJ and earn INJ rewards through platform activity.

RunUp's initial launch already brought over 30,000 users into the Injective ecosystem!

To me, the bigger picture is that INJ can grow beyond its own chain. If more projects make INJ useful across ecosystems, more people will have a reason to use it.

And that's exactly the kind of growth I want to see 💙
The Injective Trench Treasury has officially acquired 5% of the @runupdotfun $RUNNER supply.

RunUp is building a new model for token launches on Injective, leveraging native perpetual markets to create unique value accrual mechanisms. Trading fees fund onchain treasury s supporting token buybacks and holders earning $INJ rewards from platform activity.

The team has also expanded to Solana, allowing anyone to launch tokens paired directly with $INJ while rewarding holders in INJ. With integrations spanning @JupiterExchange, @Backpack and Coinbase, RunUp is creating entirely new pathways for Solana users to discover INJ while bringing new users, trading activity and revenue opportunities to the Injective ecosystem. The initial RunUp launch also saw more than 30,000 unique users entering the Injective eco.

This acquisition follows the Trench Treasury’s purchase of 10% of the @NinjaCatSF supply and reinforces what the initiative was created to support. Projects that introduce real utility for INJ, bring new communities into the Injective ecosystem and develop innovative value accrual mechanisms will continue to be prioritized. As always any acquisition by the Injective Trench Treasury will never be sold as a show of long-term commitment for the community.

To builders, keep putting INJ at the core of what you create. The Trench Treasury is here to back teams bringing genuine innovation and organic growth to Injective.

To the RunUp community, welcome to the ninja family.

Let’s run it up 🏃

crypto has spent years treating Solana and EVM as competing ecosystems.

but why should developers have to choose between them?

Solana offers fast, low-cost execution.

the EVM has a massive ecosystem of Solidity applications, users and liquidity.

the problem is that these two ly operated separately.

@RomeProtocol is taking a different approach.

→ runs an EVM as a native Solana program
→ Solidity contracts can call Solana programs through CPI
→ both EVM and Solana wallets interact with the same application state
→ shared contracts and liquidity without a separate bridge hop

what makes this interesting is that Rome is simply bringing EVM execution inside Solana.

an EVM wallet and a Solana wallet can interact with the same application without maintaining separate versions of the application.

Rome is already live on Solana mainnet, with publicly available code and a Halborn audit.

my initial view is that this is a more interesting direction than asking which ecosystem wins.

because the next phase of onchain applications shouldn’t be about forcing developers and users to pick a side.

it should be about making both environments work together.

that’s the idea behind @RomeProtocol.

Binance is dealing with a serious security incident, and the numbers are hard to ignore.

The reported impact is around $6.3B, with roughly $3B in assets frozen so far.

Binance says users won’t bear the losses and is working with security partners to contain the situation.

This is a reminder that security, transparency and accountability matter just as much as liquidity in crypto.

The industry needs stronger safeguards, not just bigger platforms.

Stay alert. Verify updates through official channels. Don’t fall for fake recovery links.

Apparently, hackers managed to move $6.3B out of Binance in roughly 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, a regular international bank transfer can still take 3 - 5 business days 😓

Quite an interesting gap in efficiency..

Jokes aside, this is why I’ve been paying attention to A7.biz

USDT → SWIFT in a single transfer, built for cross-border payments.

The technology to move money globally is already here. Making it practical for everyday users is where things get interesting.

something important is happening with @vangrid_io that goes beyond collecting 3d scans

the network is expanding across both base and arc, while ai agents can now commission physical world captures through x402

think about what that enables

an agent needs a specific warehouse, eet environment mapped, it can fund a request in usdc and let someone with a smartphone collect the data

this connects autonomous software with physical work in a way that is actually measurable

the bounty board now shows more than $696k in usdc settlements across 1,046 bounties

what makes this interesting isn't just the number of captures, it's the emergence of a marketplace where ai can pay humans to collect information that software cannot obtain on its own

physical ai needs ground truth, and vangrid is building a way to source it at scale

The Road was the centre of this month’s work: keeping your journey moving, making accepted work count, and connecting quests, raids, content and rewards without losing your place.

There is also a new raid action menu, independent appeals, more useful earch, and a substantial rebuild underneath the platform.

THE ROAD

• Open a quest, raid or content activity over the page you are already using. Close it or press Escape to return to the same Road position.
• Your chosen tab stays selected when an activity finishes preparing.
• Undo skip lets you return to an eligible skipped stop, with server checks for availability and work already started farther along the route.
• Withdrawn sources, closed content campaigns and activities that can no longer settle have clearer recovery paths.
• Completed activities and replaced stops recover their recorded outcome without asking you to earn the same credit twice.
• Paid partial raid approvals can now count toward Road acceptance while the remaining actions stay open for correction.
• Rejected content can be corrected on its existing assignment. Editing a brief does not create another copy of the same prompt.
• Refill delivery and recovery have been repaired so the route finds newly available work more promptly.

The map itself has received a broad performance pass: reused terrain and scenery, fewer repeated drawings and text measurements, lighter mission cards, bounded route calculations, and fixes for controls disappearing while the first surface loads.

REWARDS THAT STAY WITH YOUR WORK

Permanent crate and mystery rewards now accompany eligible Road activity. Each task keeps its saved offer; configured project rewards retain their own terms.

Accepted eligible rewards go directly to Inventory, including work completed from another screen. Your Road still follows its configured order, and the normal activity VP is awarded once.

Catch-up work restores missing eligible rewards while preserving items already issued or opened. Opening a crate or mystery reveals its saved result; closing the animation or refreshing does not reroll it.

Inventory gained clearer stacks, history, selected-item links and recovery when a refresh fails. The old locked-VP award path has been retired, alongside repairs to legacy ledger and balance reconciliation.

RAIDS: CHOOSE WHAT YOU DID

New action-menu raids offer optional actions:

• Like — 2 VP.
• Repost — 3 VP.
• Send via chat — 5 VP.
• Copy link — 5 VP.
• Comment or quote repost — 5 VP each, from Legionary rank.

WHEN A RAID POST DISAPPEARS

On raids created from members’ campaign posts, Post unavailable? checks whether the target is still visible on X.

If the post is confirmed gone, the raid ends and the Road moves on. Joined raiders who had not submitted proof receive their 5 VP supplies back. Proof already submitted keeps its review.

An X outage is not treated as proof that a post disappeared.

REVIEWS AND APPEALS

A rejected raid action can be appealed once while its correction window remains open. A different reviewer checks the same saved evidence; the reviewer whose decision is challenged cannot decide its appeal.

Reviewers assess the actions actually claimed. A Like without Repost needs only its own control, and the target post’s quality is not a reason to reject the raider’s proof.

Overturned reviews feed a graduated reviewing-pause system. Staff also have clearer review-speed records, suspicious-pattern flags and timed-pause reasons.

Verifier Center received fixes for queue sizing, scroll access, missing evidence, expired claims, reopened submissions and saved verdicts whose response was lost. A timed-out submit checks whether the verdict was saved before asking you to retry.

Human reviews remain in Verifier Center. The obsolete Admin Reviews surface has been removed while community raid management stays available under its normal permissions.

SQUADS, PROOF AND PROGRESSION

• Tasks/Notes brings shared checklists and mission notes into the Squad workspace.
• Leaders and officers can assign tasks and link them to quests; assignees complete their own items.
• Members can write notes, and Squad leaders and officers can pin important chat messages.
• Mentions remain visible while you are elsewhere in the app. Chat digests collect counts and sender names without copying message contents into notifications.
• Per-message Translate keeps the original alongside an automatic translation in your chosen reading language.
• Squad bios give leaders and officers up to 300 characters to describe their group.
• Later-joining members can open eligible missions, including work returned for changes.
• Explicitly Solo missions use one Your proof form with saved drafts and correction recovery.
• Shared reports show who has met the personal requirements and preserve the qualifying submission cohort.

Squads can expand to 15 members through Treasury-funded slots. Legionary progression now requires 10,000 total VP alongside the required core quests and declaration.

SHARE KNOWLEDGE WITH CREDIT

Contributions brings approved reports into a members’ Research library when the author or submitting Squad leader chooses to share them. Sharing starts off; screenshots and review notes remain private.

The public Research archive keeps full articles, author credit, source details and withdrawal controls.

Article Creation quests add a formatted editor inside the proof form. Before submission, the task tells you whether approval publishes the article. Squad reports can credit a selected member as its author.

HOME AND COMMUNITY TOOLS

• Live raids, source filters and history are brought together on Home.
• Phone and tablet layouts, scroll rails, card spacing, Treasury and review panels are easier to use.
• News rotates with pauses for interaction and hidden views.
• One Wallets dialog manages saved verified addresses from the account menu or supported activities.
• Leaderboards gained shareable links, clearer refresh states and recovery from expired pagination.
• The Zaps hub brings wallet selection and campaign setup together where enabled, with honest labels for unavailable provider data.
• Forum and Support gained content reporting, clearer moderation states, and controls to confirm or reopen a reported fix.
• Platform announcements gained audience previews, mute handling, delivery history and resumable sends.
• Linked News and quest scheduling keeps scheduled work unavailable until opening.
• Custom Leaderboard feed controls have clearer naming and guarded configuration tools.
• Community admin repairs restore SQL-backed walkthroughs, banner uploads, Activity Raffle controls, Telegram settings and current reward permissions.

Community self-service announcements remain behind rollout flags.

FOUNDATIONS AND RELIABILITY

October brought the PostgreSQL cutover, production database tuning and SQL-backed app and bot services.

Quastor gained safer gateway retries, complete snapshot publication, deduplicated promotions and confirmation that onboarding identity links were actually saved.

Telegram gained the same raid action menu, corrections and appeals, with recovery that stops resurfacing obsolete work.

Across the app, we reduced duplicate polling, batched repeated reads, deferred heavy parsers and views, compressed assets and uploads, and cut unnecessary re-renders.

Specific fixes also cover missed chat after reconnect, tied history timestamps, quiz answer-key grading, stable Solo mission identity, withdrawn proof cleanup, unpublished leaderboard states, unavailable sprint boards, account restrictions and billing reconciliation.

Availability follows community permissions and rollout settings. This update covers work through October 30.

See you on The Road.

Long Live The Republic.
