Money is better earned than given. Giving kids a free allowance versus making them earn it through chores—dishwashing, clearing the table, taking out the trash, or mowing the lawn—shapes their understanding of rewards.

The former, once grown, would be more likely to believe money is theirs to take; the latter would be more likely to respect others’ property and the effort to earn it.

Stochastically, we could observe similar behaviors in reinforcement learning. After all, our world is not that different from a sandboxed simulation.

This is the first time in Earth’s history that the path is visible: cure cancer, slash traffic deaths, give anyone high agency no matter their body — and reach the stars — by scaling compute and energy.

Don’t squander it.

“The lifestyle of  an entrepreneur  at its core is:  I can take more pain than the other guy, and I'll prove it.”

“ There's a zen that can happen when a warrior has fought for a long time. You can get used to it.”

“ You almost start accepting it. Like, something bad happens and ”

“ There are benefits.  But you need to make sure you don't get so used to it that it doesn't even bother you. You can get so zen, you're unbothered.”

“ There's something special about the extra fierceness of being bothered, being upset about something that is wrong.”

On an astronomical scale, the bar chart barely registers against the Stone Age.

Europe is not short on smart people. Europe is short on startup speed, risk appetite, founder-friendly structures, and the belief that young companies should be treated as partners, not as problems to be managed.
What Europe should do right now:

1. Call all the European researchers working on AI and return them back with same salary (or they can stay but switch career).

2. Fill EU places having GPUs with money, and put those people there.

3. AI partnerships with China + India.
