I shouldn't like this Carpathian tree trunk cabinet this much. From Vivre Interieur Authentique.

Parmigianino's last painting.

He died a few months later, at 37, of a fever.

Now in Museo di Capodimonte, Naples.

For 400 years, no one can agree who Jesus is pointing at here.

This is The Calling of Saint Matthew, my absolute favorite painting from Caravaggio.

Painted in 1600 and still in the exact same chapel in Rome.

That hand Caravaggio copied directly from Michelangelo's Sistine nk he is pointing at?

Yes, we're the Xennial generation and the best one, I might add. Humbly, ofc :)
The term is "Xennials."

We're the last generation that got to live our young adulthoods free of smartphones and social media.

That's why we're nowhere near as obnoxious as 90s Millennials.

Didn't know Michael Parkes until recently, and it kinda clicked. His mix of magic realism but painted like an old master hits exactly the balance I love.

Gents, this one's for you.

Ever wonder how to wash your chainmail?

Step 1: Throw it in a barrel.
Step 2: Spin.
Step 3: Iron it in full plate armor and a floral apron.

Just a tiny graver and hands this steady.

In case you're wondering what you're watching - this is how a traditional Chinese seal is made.

Zhuanke is an art that's over 3,000 years old.

It's carved in reverse so it stamps correctly.

All by hand, all freehand.

The control tampco is unreal.

The Rothschilds sold this couple for €160M.

It took two countries to buy them.

France owns her. The Netherlands owns her husband.

By treaty, they can never be separated.
