Some boats and zeppelins are getting lost for ages, so Blizzard put portals near most docks and inside the zeppelin towers. The real fix is due in the morning, and the portals go once it works.

A forum thread tonight asks why the main city only has maybe 8 people in it, and Aggrend, one of the Forever designers, replied that Blizzard knows some areas aren't feeling as populated n is to tweak some numbers Thursday so things feel a bit more lively.
He didn't say which numbers, but on the Forever podcast last week he said which zones share a layer is one of the things they can tune, and that at launch Durotar would be slammed while not many people idle in Orgrimmar. I wonder if that grouping is what's getting tweaked.

Blizzard set Forever's starting zones to respawn the fastest for launch, with rates slowing as you level, so players aren't hitting hard bottlenecks. Some still on purpose, Blizzard says.
Once the launch rush of low-level characters dies down, Blizzard will turn the lower-level zones down to more normal respawn rates, and there's no date for that yet. So how fast mobs come back in a starting zone right now isn't how fast they'll come back for a character you make later.

Players who joined Forever on an Invite-a-Friend code couldn't level past 10, group, join a guild or trade. A hotfix that's live now fixes it, and Blizzard suggests a relog if it hit you.

Forever's new legendary is Taldramir, the Whispering Wood, a two-handed staff. Nothing yet on who can use it or what it does, but in Blizzard's art it looks very Druid.
My guess is it's the legendary that turned up in the beta files back in September. Those files had a branch of Nordrassil getting charged with the power of a Hyjal Summit raid boss, and what looks like a reagent from every crafting profession. If it is, it's a guild project, and the roadmap has the legendary questline in Spring 2027.

The Great Outdoors, the camping tutorial quest you get early in the starting zones, is a little bugged right now. Its "Sit near the campfire" objective won't count a normal /sit.
Typing /sit again while you're already sitting makes it count, and once you've sat there a full minute you get Boosted Rest, a small rested XP buff, and that's the other objective done.

Four hours of WoW on Twitch by Nov 12 gets you the Pouch of Violet Dust. Throw it in a campfire and camp buffs last 2 hours instead of 1 for everyone resting there, but only until early December.

Three days ago we posted one player's count of the October 30 Forever hotfixes: 216 talents changed and zero of them Rogue, and rogues were already joking about it.
Blizzard's November 2 notes then gave n any other class. Every Rogue learns Shank at 24: 5 Energy, off-hand hit, 15 Energy back, and it cannot miss.
Assassination's Venom isn't a finisher you keep up anymore. It's a passive that rides on that button: 30% more poison damage and 20% more chance to apply poisons for 6 seconds. Subtlety's capstone is Death Mark now, in place of Thousand Cuts, a row 7 finisher that stores your damage and pays it back after 6 seconds.

Forever is live in every region as of 3 p.m. PST, so the long maintenance before launch didn't run over.
If you're still picking a main, how strong your class is today is pretty much how strong it stays for the next five weeks. Blizzard said in their latest notes they don't plan on big tuning changes before the raids open December 9, outside of bugs and serious outliers.

Questie is up for Forever ahead of the 3 p.m. PST launch. In Classic it was the addon that put quests on your map at all, since the game had no quest markers of its own.
Forever has those built in, on if you pick the Enhanced preset at first login and off if you pick Classic, so Questie is more about the extras now, like markers for quests you haven't picked up yet and map pins for where quest items drop.
The markers for quests you haven't picked up are the part I care about most, since on the beta some quests were easy to miss even on a third playthrough. A lot of quests also didn't track right in the game's own system there, and I wonder how much of that got fixed for launch.

Spell training from 1 to 60 in Forever costs 206 to 207 gold for every class. Warlocks come in under that, but only by about what their pet grimoires are supposed to cost, so no class is the cheap Riding is still the other bill, reportedly 100 gold for the first tier and 1,000 for the second, with the first mount free once you pay it.

Blizzard's 30 minute Launch Overview from yesterday has a Tauren Mage casting Frostbolt, a Skyborne Paladin and a Night Elf in the Shaman tier 0.5 set, and players have been asking since it went up whether those are teases.
None of the three is on the race and class grid Blizzard posted in September. Tauren got no new class, the new Skyborne race gets no Paladin on either faction, and on the Alliance only Dwarves can be Shamans. So when Forever opens at 3 PM PST today, none of them is on the character screen.
The Chaos Bolts in a few shots aren't in the game either. My guess is those shots are ideas they tried and dropped more than a tease, but I do wonder if any of them come back in a later patch.

Classic raids ran on Blessing of Salvation, and Forever's don't. It's gone, so raid DPS get no threat cut, and the tanks generate more threat instead.
Blizzard's notes only tie the bear change to Salvation threat bonus goes from 50% to 115% "to compensate." Defensive Stance's goes from 30% to 80% in the same notes, and Righteous Fury now adds 33% to all threat plus 90% from Holy. Calling those two the same fix is us, not Blizzard.

Forever opens today at 3 p.m. PST, which is 6 p.m. EST, 11 p.m. GMT, midnight CET and 10 a.m. Thursday in Sydney. There's a long maintenance before it, planned to end right at 3, so if that runs over, launch does too.
