This is our biggest launch to date 🚀 Welcome to Warp 2.0
We’ve raised $85M for this moment.

Introducing Warp 2.0: The first AI Head of HR.

Every company is building AI to replace jobs. Warp is building AI to do the jobs no human should have to:

If you work in HR, I want you to spend time with the manager who needs help or building actually want to work at.

If you’re a founder, I want you to focus on signing clients or spending time with your family.

You shouldn’t have to figure out how to register state tax in California. You shouldn’t have to pay outrageous penalties because you don't know what a DE 9C is.

I want to make HR human again. Today, this is finally possible with the Warp Agent.

I’d love for you to see it in action: warp.co/agent

shoutout to @rankintweets who shipped this himself
Today we’re launching Custom Fields, one of the most powerful features we’ve ever shipped in Warp.

Every company tracks something about its people that no HRIS has a field for, whether that’s a bonus tier, a cost center, or the internal level you promote against. Until now that heet next to the HRIS. The spreadsheet never touched payroll and never touched the ledger. Now it lives in Warp.

Most platforms solve this with a free-text column on the employee record. It works until you need the field anywhere else, and then you’re back in the spreadsheet.
We didn’t build it that way.

A custom field in Warp is a first-class part of the employee record:

1/ Permissions understand it, so a compensation field stays hidden from the employee it describes.
2/ Onboarding understands it, so a required field has to be filled before a new hire can activate.
3/ Payroll understands it, so a cost center you define shows up as its own journal line, and the accounting sync carries that line into your ERP mapped to the right tracking category.
4/ The agent understands it too. Ask who is still missing a value and you get the list.

That’s what makes it powerful. And because custom fields are fully supported over our API, you can plug them into your own systems and build whatever you need on top of them.

Fields can be numbers, text, single or multi-select, required or optional, visible to the employee or admin-only. Settings > Custom Fields > New Custom Field.

Try it today, or grab a demo: warp.co/demo

It’s Day 1.

Let’s build.

When I was 16, I told my mentor I was going to MIT. He told me it wasn’t possible. Two years later I was the first person from an Indian state of 240 million people to get in.

I grew up in Kanpur, where it was understood I would go to an IIT. I barely spoke English and didn’t e to the US. I walked into Avanti Fellows, the nonprofit Akshay Saxena had just started to help kids lift their families out of poverty through STEM careers, and told him I wanted MIT instead. Mostly because Richard Feynman had gone there.

He wasn’t trying to discourage me. He was being honest about the odds, and the odds said it had never happened. But, despite the odds, I got in. He still gets calls every year from parents asking him to help a kid get into MIT or an Ivy, and he still thinks it’s mostly impossible.

Years later, I started the company that became @warpdotco. Akshay wasn’t sure about it at first either, but he invested anyway.

Akshay was honest about the odds both times. He showed up for me every time though.

Everyone needs an Akshay in their life.

Meet Warp Agent. The next era of HR software is here to make your life easier, not to add another dashboard for you to manage.

Most employee management software was built to help a person do the second job faster. Warp was built to eliminate it.

huge congrats to the Greptile team on their series b 👏
Greptile has raised a $50M Series B led by Menlo Ventures. The round values the company at $750M.

Greptile reviews and tests more than 1% of all PRs opened on GitHub every day. Thousands of engineering teams including Nvidia, Coinbase, Decagon, and Vanta use Greptile as their validation layer.

Fewer than 50 people, we are a small, talent-dense team of engineers and researchers in a quiet corner of San Francisco. If you’re interested in joining us, we’d love to hear from you.
