Ngl I wish Eri and mandalay were actually shown to have some moments that warranted her adopting her. It's even weirder to me that Eris care seemed more like an inconvenience toward the end and Hori just gave her to the motherly character who's known to already raise an orphan

Eri is a daughter/sister for several characters in mha depending on fandoms convenience. Even Horikoshi doesn't know who to be the soul caretaker for her so he made it a village adopts child kind of thing.

I personally see it as a foster care situation. Bt I dont think its really misogynistic to think Eri & Mandalay relationship isnt all that much to care abt since we never see anyth between them & she has deeper relationships with other characters like Mirio, dk, jiro and Aizawa🤷🏽♀️

I don't think it warrants hate towards her character tho and We cannot deny Mandalay played a huge role in Eri's life behind scenes but thats all there is to it. We only know their mother daughter bond happened between the timeskip 🤷🏽♀️
