We're launching Bank Arena: 52 long-running banking tasks across several banking apps.
We gave frontier computer-use agents a bank to run, from recovering transfers to settling merchant payouts. The median task takes experts ~75 minutes to complete, and the highest-scoring f tasks.
Here's what we found ↓

As AI moves money from wages to owners:
1. Make sure you own assets
2. Help your kids own assets, not just earn wages.

i have done more kernel vulnerability remediation lately than my actual job😂
i dont remember kernel patching being this much of a full time job before AI came along. At this point, im basically a kernel remediation engineer💀

One very important thing that even the smartest people seem to have to learn from experience is taste in problems. There are juicy problems that tend to lead to interesting discoveries, and nasty problems that tend not to.

just speaking from my own experience, and i dont expect this path to work for everyone, but read a lot. find engineers whose work you respect and just follow their work. you dont always have to DM people asking how to start. most of them already put so much out there
@triplemcoderr Are languages still barriers to entry? I mean, there is this AI craze. I still think mastery of a language is improtant but is it tho, when you can just describe or work with an AI agent?

read their blogs, go through their project on github, watch their talks. i have learnt a lot that way from people like @Ope__O , @_alternatewolf, @MoVonLagos, and my mentor @lanreadelowo and non of them barely know me personally.

I think SRE requires an insane amount of reading. systems, networking, kernels, runtimes, distributed systems, observability. you cant always see high CPU and conclude “add CPU.” sometimes you have to follow the stack all the way down and sometimes the fix is back in the code
