@triggerpod I had a similar experience with my publisher. It's not even an ideological thing. The industry is a wasteland of lazy slugs unqualified for any thriving, discerning profession.

The laziness of blaming Amazon. If you sell a commodity others sell cheaper/faster, YOU MUST COMPETE. Host book clubs, author readings, experiences for kids, literary debates/competitions or countless other ideas. Be what Amazon can't or go gracefully.
