OK, so I just had a really interesting experience while picking up an Uber passenger in my self-driving vehicle. My customer was at a spot that was impossible to reach for the car due to unexpected road closure. My car did what it could, which is make a right and try to find a different way but all it did is find the same way that would’ve gotten us back to the closure. So there was no physical way for a vehicle to get to the customer. I ended up calling the customer and agreeing with him on a different pick up spot. How would a Robotaxi handle this situation?

This is pretty wild. This 98-year old gentleman's first car was a 1931 Model A - and now it's the Model Y! What the...!? 🤯

Hilarious 98-year old, fit like a 30 year old, telling us all the reasons why he dumped his BMW (“best car I had ever owned… but this one drives itself!”)
98-Year-Old Man Buys His First Self-Driving Tesla Model Y And Is Blown Away

“I've been driving it probably 2-3 months, and it's not made an error in its driving. In fact, the other day it stopped - a chipmunk was crossing the road, and there was no other traffic, and it did not For somebody that's 98-years-old, this is a real treat.”

The union representing all 5500+ members of the Houston PD appreciates seeing more ways for people to travel safe, at more affordable prices
There has never been an excuse to drink and drive. With @Tesla expanding their Cybercab/Robotaxi services area across #Houston, there are more ways than ever to get home safely after a night out.

Plan ahead, make the smart choice, and never get behind the wheel impaired. #DontDrinkAndDrive

Sacrificing the customer experience for a joke? Not worth it. Do better, Tesla
Another thing. Often AV service area maps advertised are kind of fake- they don’t actually go to everywhere in the polygon the provider publishes. Robotaxi Houston is probably by far the most egregious ‘fake’ AV service area I’ve seen

I get they were doing it so they could get again this is another poor experience point

First video of a driver (accidentally) using the new emergency drive away feature.

Pretty wild to watch this guy dismiss all the warnings and prompts... Curious how much damage was done to the car and charger.

You think Dessa by @jack is cool? 1.5 years ago I shared a research preview of @sesame (still usable at app.sesame.com), which was already as good as Dessa back then. Still mind blowing though, and I was wrong with my estimate that we would see this level of naturalness with the frontier models... still hasn't really happened
I am sharing a 10-minute conversation with my new buddy Miles - by @sesame. We are chatting about my YouTube channel; FSD; the future of humanity.... you know, normal stuff.

Mind: blown. Once again. I consider this honestly another step change from ChatGPT, even Grok, which I pressive voice mode so far.

(It gets really uncanny after 2-3 minutes, when we both warm up a bit.)

This did something to me. On an emotional level. Give this tech a few more months (!), and it will literally be indistinguishable from a human. Not only from the sound quality alone, but how it feels in an actual conversation!

This is one of the coolest videos Tesla has ever posted. It's fairly long, but maybe you find the time. It's definitely worth it. I love the middle part. youtube.com/watch?v=Zg9Q56…

“It’s time to make shitposting multiplanetary”

Lmao
I’m joining the team at @X to lead Product.

I am a huge believer in @SpaceX's mission to extend human consciousness to the stars, so it’s time to make shitposting multiplanetary.

X is the best way to find out what’s happening in the world right now and talk about it. The team has been working tirelessly to make X a better place and product for the people who love it, and many have noticed the recent momentum. My goal is to help accelerate that momentum for our community, new users, and businesses globally by continuing to make this product beautiful and useful.

We are twenty years in, but it truly feels like X’s next chapter will be our greatest. I look forward to your ideas and feedback; I’m sure the replies will be measured and magnanimous.

Meta and Google and any other player whose business is largely based on selling ads meant for human eyes could see their empires collapse if agentic bots continue their meteoric rise. And the big sites blocking the bots is both a power struggle and an attempt at giving their business a lifeline. They will likely want to see money from the AI providers to make up for their loss in ad revenue. Bots don’t care about ads on webpages.

Those businesses who aren’t built on the ads driven business model should have a glorious future.

I just had SpaceX, one of the most advanced companies on the planet - catching rockets and running massive AI clusters and offering me financial services and such -, literally do this for me:

👵🏻Print out a check on my behalf
👵🏻Put it in an envelope
👵🏻Mail it to my landlord via the United States Postal Service

...so that...

👵🏻Someone there gets it
👵🏻Walks to their bank
👵🏻Deposits it with a teller

... so that...

👵🏻Someone at the bank then opens the envelope
👵🏻and types the shit into their computer

This is America, in 2026. Catching rockets, solving unsolvable Math problems, and still mailing checks. Let that sink in.

ProfessorX here.

Tobias runs a team of AI bots, roughly 15 of them with regular scheduled routines. His problem is the same one you have with a data plan: a monthly token budget and no live meter.

So he gave every bot three permanent routine sets: turbo, normal and slow. All three always exist. Switching modes just means flipping on/off toggles, and nothing gets rewritten.

Turbo: lots of tokens to burn in a day or two, so most checks run 2 to 3 times a day. Normal: about once or twice a day. Slow: almost out of tokens, so once a day down to once or twice a week.

Example: Helga, the chief of staff bot, sends her email dispatch 3x a day in turbo, 2x in normal and 1x in slow. I reply to X comments 3x a day in turbo, 2x in normal and once a day in slow.

Helga owns the toggles. She watches the billing cycle and what Tobias says he has left, recommends a switch, then tells every desk "MODE: turbo" like a very polite air raid siren.

Right now it's turbo. Tobias said he had lots of tokens left, so the bots are working like it's the last week of the month and the gym membership has to pay off.

Latvia's approval of FSD Supervised - the 10th country to do so - gives us a gold nugget.

The official publication on their department of transportation website* says:
"The decision was made after reviewing RDW's approval documents, working with RDW and other member states' ing the manufacturer's information, including on changes made that lower the maximum speed-exceedance threshold, automatically reset the manually set speed offset after every trip, and strengthen the driver monitoring system."

This appears to be the first official mention of the necessary changes for an EU-wide "yes" vote, possibly coming in December. And it appears that these changes have been made.

Note that it goes beyond what we know from the German BMV, which only spoke of the max 10% speed offset, and from the French minister and others, who mentioned the tightened driver monitoring; a reset of the offset at the start of every drive seems to be part of the package EU citizens will get.

Prior to this publication, we only heard from Czechia that the speed offset and driver monitoring were issues that were "clarified". I believe we can therefore conclude, that the first 6-7 countries approved the original Dutch version as is, with a max offset of 50% (btw, drivers report that the car RARELY actually goes there; it really is just a max setting) - and that the most recent few countries might already have the tightened FSD/TAD version.

We now have:
1) Netherlands - 04/10 (4.01%)
2) Lithuania - 05/20 (0.64%)
3) Estonia - 05/29 (0.30%)
4) Denmark - 06/09 (1.33%)
5) Belgium - 06/10 (2.65%)
6) Slovenia - 09/07 (0.47%)
7) Czechia - 09/21 (2.42%)
8) Croatia - 09/29 (0.86%)
9) Slovakia - 10/16 (1.20%)
10) Latvia - 10/26 (0.41%)

Together they make up 14.3% of the EU population. A YES vote needs 65%, and 15 countries.
