Pinned Tweet
yes, I crossed $1,000,000 / month

was trying to keep it quiet but it got leaked on a pod so... let's go

quick backstory:

I sold Tweet Hunter and Taplio for $8m in 2024
then got back to work

and honestly, I was terrified

when you set a standard for yourself, you have to live is real

every single thing I shipped felt scary - I felt like a fraud, "the lucky guy who got acquired once"

every launch, I kept thinking:
what if it flops?
what if I go from "the guy who exited" to just... a nobody?

so I forced myself to ship a ton
a lot failed
I was embarrassed by the bugs in my MVPs
but I kept going

Revid, Outrank, SuperX, PostSyncer, Feather -> five products thriving

today they do more than anything I've ever built before

grateful to my co-makers, to the team, and to everyone following along, giving feedback, using the products every day

thank you, genuinely 🙏

I quickly went from prompting an agent to building systems and then putting the agents incharge of those systems.

Everytime I have a job to be done, I talk to my chief of staff agent inside Squad.so and together we build a system for it, then I create a new agent arge of that system.

This made my life so much easier and also showed me how system less and unorganised I actually am…

So far, I have 1 chief of staff agent + 5 agents inside Squad.

Just added another new agent today to triage all the feedback I have been getting from so many sources like Slack, emails, customer calls, production logs, etc.

one of our users replaced half of his SDR team with a single agent on Squad 👀

every new signup gets researched, scored and a personal email drafted automatically.

here’s the exact workflow so you can copy it:

- it wakes up on every new lead, whether that’s a new account, a a website form
- it checks the email domain first. personal emails like Gmail get skipped, and company domains move on to the next stage
- then it researches the company from their website, the founders’ LinkedIn and X, and public data to work out what they do, how big the team is, who makes the call and what they probably need
- it scores the lead against your ideal customer and picks the angle for the email
- it saves everything to your CRM or a sheet, so nobody gets researched twice
- it sends you a short brief instead of a data dump: who they are, which tool they’re likely paying for today, why you’re a fit, and a ready-to-send draft

you reply send, edit or skip. obv nothing goes out without your yes

it keeps a running doc of which angles get replies, so every email gets sharper than the last one

sales teams pay SDRs to do this by hand, and even then only for their best leads

this agent does it for every single lead, and you can set it up on Squad.so in literally one conversation

just spent $100k in ... windows 🤯

(yes they are big .. but still)

the process was a nightmare
and this is a MASSIVE opportunity

the process is extremely confusing, too many choices, too many constraints, in like every little details, and extremely expensive

and 80% of is space don't actually use AI (or like a random thing on ChatGPT free version)

if i had to start from 0, i would definitely go into a physical business, make it AI-native and prepare for the robotic revolution

Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Copilot - this Outrank user shows up in all of them 🤩

they're a Shopify pet treats brand

team of 2, so content was always "on the back burner"

domain rating 1
very few backlinks
organic traffic basically 0

now it's 1,000+ users a month from the blog

DR went from 1 to 31

their words: "it has completely changed the trajectory of our store's organic traffic with almost no lift from our internal team"

publications are now reaching out to partner with them

today feels weird

2022: sold my startup for $10m
thought that was the peak

2024: restarted from 0

today: realized my products made more since 2024, than the exit I had in 2022 🤯

one takeaway: you can always go further than you think

I ran an AEO experiment and found something critical

the median DR of websites AI cites is 86

I asked ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude the same set of questions and pulled the DR of all 1,329 sources they cited

say you ask ChatGPT “best CRM for startups”. it searches, cites around 7 sources and writes you an answer

you read the answer, but the AI read the blog posts first and decided who gets quoted

here’s what the cited pages have in common:

- trust
only 7% of citations came from sites under DR 30

AI quotes sites the web already trusts, and that trust is built with backlinks

- page format
73% of the sources were blog content: listicles, articles and comparisons

product and landing pages were 7%, and forums and social were only 3%

- original data
ChatGPT is the exception: only 18% of its citations were blog content, and 63% were the original source, like a pricing page or the docs

AI quotes the place a fact comes from, so if your post repeats the same stats as 40 other posts, there’s nothing in it to quote

- interactivity on the page
many cited pages had a calculator, chart, table or template

the few humans who click through already read the AI’s summary, so they click to do something, not to read

now you can’t get to DR 86 right away, but you can do 2 things:
1. get to DR 30+ in less than 5 months
2. get your product mentioned in the exact listicles AI keeps citing

Outrank helps you do both
it builds backlinks for you automatically and gets your product the #1 spot in the listicles AI cites

so after this experiment, we rebuilt all 280 posts on the Outrank blog this week. 275 of them now have a calculator, chart, checklist or template

that’s what we’re building into every Outrank article: real data, backlinks that raise your DR, and pages worth clicking

so now we write for the AI first, then give the human a reason to click

traffic from ChatGPT is skyrocketing on my apps

and Ilias shares a gem here
this is such a good framework

side note: i looked into it and blog posts are 73% of what AI looks at when replying

blogging is faaarr from being dead
Want ChatGPT to recommend your SaaS?

1. Ask AI: "best [your category] tools"
2. Copy competitors it recommends
3. Paste to Ahrefs → Backlinks
4. Filter: "Best links" + Sort by "Page Traffic"
5. Find "Best X" listicles linking to them

Email them, you'll show up in ChatGPT!
