Today, I stood beside my husband, our children, and my best friend and did something I never imagined I’d get to do. I voted for myself to represent my community in the United States Congress.
I wish I could fully put into words what that moment meant to me.
Seventeen months s race as a first-time candidate, not knowing everything this journey would require of me.
Today, I can say with tremendous pride that we have run a valiant race.
We have traveled across this district, knocked on doors, met incredible families, and worked tirelessly to share our vision for IL-01.
I am deeply grateful for every volunteer, supporter, and person who has encouraged us along the way.
This experience has strengthened my faith, challenged me in ways I never imagined, and reminded me how much I love the communities I hope to represent.
Today wasn’t just about seeing my name on the ballot. It was about standing there with the people I love most and realizing how far we’ve come.
Whatever November 3 brings, I will always be proud that we stepped forward, gave this race everything we had, and never stopped showing up.
Thank you, IL-01, for being part of this journey. ❤️🇺🇸

🔴JUST CURIOUS🔴
Two Black men are on the verge of making history as the first Black Republican governors in America.
Why are the media, the Left, and the @NAACP completely silent?
Fair question. 🤷🏼♀️

@themodpun I’ve been praying for you from the early days of your race, and praying much more intensely as we wind down. But regardless of how intense we pray, God has a plan. Your boldness to be a witness for Him will be blessed. I’m praying the blessing includes a victory on Election Day though!

My faith in Christ is everything. I lean on Him daily — not for recognition, but to fulfill the call He’s put on my life.

How much longer should hardworking families have to pay more, struggle harder, and settle for less while Washington keeps promising results that never seem to arrive?
That’s the question I kept asking myself before I decided to run for Congress.
I’m a mother of four, a wife, understand what it’s like to balance a family budget, worry about your children’s future, and wonder why the systems we’re paying for aren’t delivering what our communities need.
After 18 months of traveling across Illinois’ 1st Congressional District and listening to residents, one thing has become even clearer to me: People aren’t asking for miracles. They’re asking for government to do its job.
So what am I offering the people of IL-01?
SAFER STREETS. Supporting effective law enforcement, improving public safety, and demanding accountability for programs receiving taxpayer funding.
STRONGER READERS. Making literacy a priority, supporting evidence-based education, and ensuring families have transparent information about school performance.
AFFORDABLE HOMES. Addressing barriers to homeownership, examining the impact of rising property taxes, and supporting policies that expand economic opportunity.
RECEIPTS FOR TAXPAYERS. Bringing greater transparency and oversight to federal spending so residents can see where their money goes and what results it produces.
I’m also committed to listening to constituents, helping residents navigate federal agencies, and maintaining an accessible congressional office.
I’m not promising that Congress can solve every problem. I’m promising to ask the hard questions, challenge wasteful spending, and be honest about what government can actually deliver.
Because public service should be measured by results, not excuses.

It’s disappointing when political leaders use emotional appeals instead of explaining policy changes.
Recent Medicaid reforms tighten eligibility for some noncitizens and add work requirements for certain able-bodied adults, with exemptions.
That’s fair and GOOD for the ho FUND the program.

Washington is part of the job. Being accountable to the people back home is the other part.
Congressman Jonathan Jackson, constituents across IL-01 deserve a clear answer:
How many public town halls have you held in Chicago, suburban Cook County, Will County, and Kankakee were they held?
Publish the dates. Share the locations. Show residents how they can meet with you and ask questions directly.
Accountability starts with transparency. And the people you represent shouldn’t have to chase down opportunities to be heard.
