Martin Luther believed the body and blood of Christ are definitively present and orally eaten.

Martin Luther believed in baptismal regeneration and the necessity of the sacraments for salvation.

Martin Luther believed in auricular confession with an ordained pastor.
Luther wasn't afraid to say Roman Catholicism "abolishes the Gospel":

“The nefarious opinion of the papists, which attributes the merit of grace and the remission of sins to works, must here be emphatically rejected.”

“They are saving nobody. On the contrary, they abolish the Gospel, they deride, deny, and blaspheme Christ, and call upon themselves the wrath of God.”

— Martin Luther (1535) - Commentary on Galatians 2:16,20

People on this app are unhinged. You correct misinformation and they crash out. This app is actually just garbage and bad for everyone's spiritual health.

This might actually be the lowest level slop I've ever seen.
In celebration of Reformation month, I have another question for Protestants.

What was the true Church called between 100 AD and 1517 and where was it?

Papists who claim the church fathers, haven’t really read the church fathers.

Yeah, that's call moral instrumentality as far as we Reformed are concerned.
@RevJaredJones Peter specifically states that Baptism is not for putting away the filth of the flesh. Only the blood of Jesus Christ can wash away sins. Baptism is the answer of a good conscience towards God.

That’s exactly how it works and how it has always worked.
After getting rich from the money she earned as a sex worker for 11 years, this woman believes that entering holy water has cleansed her of all her sins…

I'll be honest, I'd rather have a monarchy with safeguards against incompetent monarchs. However, I am American so I'll settle for a Republic with the reinvesting of power into the States.

@TexasPreacherroduce new elements of worship, they must be divinely revealed. Music during the Lord's Supper is not an element of worship being offered unto God. It is an aesthetically determination, just like opting for warm color light bulbs over blue LEDs, or high ceiling vs low ceiling. You can argue that one aethetical determination is inferior to another or that it causes some harm, but you can't outright say that music during the Supper is itself unlawful.

Calvin's Institutes Bk. 3, Ch. 6, Sec. 3.

"If the Lord adopts us for his sons on the condition that our life be a representation of Christ, the bond of our adoption,—then, **unless we dedicate and devote ourselves to righteousness, we not only, with the utmost perfidy, revolt from our Creator, but also abjure the Saviour himself**."

If we do not walk in such a manner, we do not remain in right relationship with God.

Calvin's Commentary on 1 Thessalonians 2:12

"It now remains that we answer God’s call, that is, that we shew ourselves to be such children to him as he is a Father to us. **For he who lives otherwise than as becomes a child of God, deserves to be cut off from God’s household**."
Christians are called to “walk in a manner worthy of God” (1 Thessalonians 2:12)

Just not as the way to be in right standing with God, but as a result of it.
