Here at the QTU we have been shocked and saddened by the recent and tragic events in Wieambilla.
We understand that we are all feeling the effect of this tragedy, some more personally than others.

Queensland students have the right to quality, accessible vocational education.
The QTU welcomes the announcement from the Federal Treasurer today.
It’s a positive step, however more is still needed to #rebuildwithTAFE

Holidays are a time when teachers and school leaders have the opportunity to disconnect from work and reconnect with family and friends. We will be limiting our social media communications to assist with that.
From all of us here at the QTU, we wish you a safe and restful break.

The QTU strongly encourages members to not participate in AITSL’s Australian Teacher Workforce Data.
The QTU views the survey as another thing that amounts to incremental workload creep, and QTU members have the right to delete and just say no.
