🚀Can LLMs repair programs without known buggy hunks?🤔
💡 My student @SiyuexiH's #ICSE2025 paper reveals that current infilling approaches constrain LLMs' repair potential. By simply aligning the task objective from fixing buggy hunks to rewriting the entire program with tests, eady achieve state-of-the-art without known buggy hunks or multi-round repair.
Our findings are orthogonal to existing LLM-based program repair methods.

Her PhD work focuses on fuzzing of reactive systems, and rendering much of the bug finding ng in reactive systems, via fuzzing. She researches (and can teach effortlessly) at the intersection of security, software engineering and systems. A special find for CS departments seeking to hire junior faculty! Wishing her Godspeed in future research !!
