Oh for the love of Christ.
New: Sources from three countries confirm that the Trump Administration has advocated Viktor Orbán for UN Secretary-General.
The US has encouraged Orbán to enter the race, even bringing him the initial idea of a joint U.S.-Russia-China candidacy.

Wow. Just wow. Lula wins in Brazil.
This is a victory for decency and the rule of law.
He beat all the polls. My friends are celebrating in Sao Paolo tonight!

⭕️ President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has overtaken Flávio Bolsonaro in Brazil's runoff count. With 59.77% of polling stations reporting, Lula has 50.52% of valid votes to Bolsonaro's 49.48%, a lead of about 766,000 votes, according to Brazil's Superior Electoral Court (TSE). so that share is not the same as the share of votes counted.

Orbán gone. The Bolsonaros gone. Vucic gone. Netanyahu so desperate to avoid facing the criminal courts of his country if he loses the upcoming election that he's trying to incite a nuclear war.

A stunning defeat for a Trump-aligned right-wing leader in Europe.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, whose government cultivated close ties with Donald Trump and his family, has conceded defeat to a student-led opposition movement in a historic parliamentary election.
Trump's rsonally met with Vučić, while Jared Kushner pursued a major luxury real estate project with his government.
Now, after nearly two years of massive student-led protests against corruption and authoritarianism, Vučić's ruling party has been defeated at the ballot box.
The student-backed movement is projected to win a parliamentary majority, ending more than a decade of dominance by Vučić's party.

The thing about Google clearing a forest in Finland without permits is that they decided that whatever fine they might face is worth it. It doesn’t cost them as much as not getting the land cleared.
Because like ALL things, if the punishment is a fine, it isn’t really illegal for rich people.

There needs to be jailtime for those near or at the top or they're always going to do whatever they wish, knowing it's simply a fine & shrug their shoulders. Same could be said for other violations by tech bros. What consequences were there for enabling Brexit? For Tumbler Ridge?

Times have been tough in this Ohio town ever since the woke mob closed the old Cheesecake Factory. So when Vivek Ramaswamy promised to legalize child rape, they finally had something to cheer about again. But then Obama said something elitist.

Canada:
The US is willing to betray its closest allies in Europe, a market of 450 million people and an economy worth nearly $20 trillion, just to cut shady, corrupt deals with Putin's Russia, an economy roughly the size of Italy's.
What an absolutely insane foreign policy.

For an Star article that purported to review the PHP candidates, this was a blatant hit piece on one candidate, and we ended up none the wiser about what the candidates stand for.
The Star is taking an easily explained nitpick and running with it in bad faith to smear Diana.
As good a time as any to emphatically endorse @DianaCMcNally in PHP — her pragmatic and compassionate approach to fixing our city's woes is desperately overdue on council.

I have never used Airbnb but have read so much negative about its services, I am curious why anyone would risk using it; yes, you can save money, but the situation doesn't seem at all professional & you end up being a chambermaid?--still, being blamed for things not being perfect? unless you really need to economize this just seems risky & ends a visit on a sour note.
This is an excellent way of putting it.
I was done with Airbnb after I stayed at a place, was specifically instructed not to do any major cleaning because I was paying for a deep clean 🧼
I tidied up and left the place in good nick anyway, but 🧵

BREAKING: Pentagon prepares every major US military base to operate for at least 90 days without outside electricity, fuel, water or supplies, anticipating a major war that could cripple power grids, break global supply chains and threaten critical infrastructure on US soil, per Fox News.
The plans include portable nuclear reactors, large-scale battery storage and microgrids able to disconnect installations from the civilian electrical grid entirely.
