Been playing with Vercel Drive this week and I keep wondering... did Vercel just ship Durable Objects?
Hear me out -
Create a named drive, attach a sandbox, and you’re guaranteed only one active instance is ever touching that state. Write a program around that and you start programming model that makes Durable Objects so good.
It's a fun inversion of roles. You stop thinking of a drive as something you attach to a sandbox. Make the drive the main character, and attach a sandbox to bring its state to life.
I tried replicating an agent substrate demo I had built before using Vercel Drive, and really like how it feels.
e.g. take Pi Durable. Pi checkpoints each step to a SQLite file on the drive. When the sandbox stops, even mid-turn, state in the drive is durably stashed away, and you can later attach a new sandbox to pick up the conversation right where it left off.
Reminds me of when I first learned about Durable Objects and how it warped my mind a bit. Can't wait to play around with this more.

Vercel Drives is generally available. You can now run stateful agents on Vercel.

Respan is a new open-source AI router: Route every model through your self-hosted API endpoint.
Of course, you can deploy it to Vercel as a container image running on Fluid compute, it autoscales with traffic and scales to zero when idle.
Of course, you can deploy it to Vercel as a container image running on Fluid compute, it autoscales with traffic and scales to zero when idle.
Respan OSS Gateway: the last AI gateway you ever need.
Because it can connect anything: LLMs, images, video, realtime voice, and MCP tools like web search and long-term memory, all through one endpoint. Each one is just a plugin you switch on.
Against LiteLLM on the same 5.9 ms added latency (78x less)
- 61,062 vs 1,348 requests/s with 50 in flight (45x more; LiteLLM on 14 workers)
- 33 MB vs 494 MB memory (15x less; LiteLLM on 1 worker)
Fully written in Rust. MIT/Apache-2.0.

When Durable Execution meets Agent Harnesses: make any harness durable.

Introducing 𝚍𝚞𝚛𝚊𝚋𝚕𝚎-𝚑𝚊𝚛𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚜. Run Pi, OpenCode, Codex, Claude Code, eve, fx, or your own harness durably on Vercel.
With 𝚍𝚞𝚛𝚊𝚋𝚕𝚎-𝚑𝚊𝚛𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚜, agents automatically resume work after failures and run for hours, days, or months. vercel.com/blog/making-ev…

Markdown in Google Drive and Docs is even better than expected:
- Real-time collaboration in the editor!
- Create a new .md file from the main "Create" button
This is my new default

Looks like you can now view and edit markdown files in Google Drive on the web.
It opens the Google Docs editor, limited to markdown features. Saving the file does not convert it to Docs, it just saves the .md file.
