If you have a long, long commute like me, you know how much mental coordination happens the moment you sit in the driver's seat.

I’ve said before that having Gemini in the car is a game changer, but Personal Intelligence now takes it to an entirely new level.

Available now on soon to cars with Google built-in, Gemini can securely bridge your physical journey with your digital life across Google Workspace, Photos, Maps, and more.

Take a scenario many of us deal with: picking up family from the airport.

Normally, you're driving while trying to remember their flight number, wondering if their gate changed, and mentally calculating if you'll make it to the terminal on time.

Now, you don't have to pull over to dig through your phone. You just ask: "Is my family's flight on time, and what terminal should I head to?"

Gemini does the heavy lifting. It securely pulls the flight info from your Gmail and matches it with real-time airport data, so you can get to the right destination without missing a beat.

We've designed this with strict privacy at the center, ensuring your data remains completely under your control.

Amazing work by our teams! Can’t wait to hear what you all think.

Earthquakes cause so much destruction and tragedy, and hundreds of millions of people live in earthquake prone regions. We wanted to find a way for technology to help in any way possible, so we built the Android Earthquake Alerts System in 2021. It enables early warnings at scale, and we’ve now sent more than 1 billion alerts. Today, we’re expanding the network from 98 to more than 200 regions and improving our Be Ready alert to quickly give you additional info. Thanks to our Android safety team for driving this innovation.

Googlebook is designed for Gemini Intelligence with helpful AI features that no other platform has achieved.

For example, with Magic Pointer, you can point at any on-screen element for instant context-aware suggestions. And with Rambler, you can turn your stream of shed text.

Developers and builders will have a full Linux terminal environment to run tools like Antigravity, Claude code, Codex CLIs and more.

The latest Android Drop is here, packed with updates that make your life a little easier.

Two of my favorite features are:

🫧 Motion Assist: If you get motion sick while looking at your phone in a moving car, this one is a game-changer. It places a subtle bubble overlay on in sync with the vehicle's motion, bridging the visual-vestibular gap. You can set it to activate automatically, add it to Quick Settings, and even customize the bubble's color, shape, and opacity to fit your look.

👁️ Guided vision in Gemini Live: Point your camera to have Gemini describe what is in front of you in real time. Whether you are reading fine print on food labels, navigating a menu in a dim restaurant, or finding everyday objects around the house, it guides you with voice prompts if you need to reframe or center what you're looking at.

Technology is at its best when it solves real everyday challenges and naturally fits into your routine. A huge thank you to the teams for building helpful experiences that meet people where they are!

The goal of @Android has always been to bring the best of computing to everyone.

For years, speech-to-text has made mobile communication effortless. And although many in the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community prefer using sign language, typing in English on a keyboard has quirement on smartphones.

With the launch of the new Pixel 11 series, we introduced sign-to-text translation, powered by @GoogleDeepMind’s multilingual sign language-to-text (SL2T) translation model.

Built in deep partnership with the Deaf community and our AI Sign Language Advisory Committee (AISLAC) from day one, sign-to-text translates American Sign Language into written English in real time across Gboard and Live Transcribe. Whether you're drafting a message, prompting Gemini, or ordering coffee, you can communicate naturally in your own language. Using your device’s front camera, the sign-to-text feature tracks upper-body, hand, and facial movements in real time. Then it sends a 2D map of your movements to the server, not your video, to be translated into English.

It’s been awesome seeing the early love and reactions over the past couple of days, from folks testing it out at the Google Store to seeing the excitement from Deaf users and community members imagining what this future looks like.

It’s still early days, and we’re committed to continuously improving the experience as we bring sign-to-text to more Android devices and support more global sign languages over time.

Incredible work by the teams across Android and DeepMind, and a huge thank you to our community partners for guiding this important milestone!

Throughout my career, I’ve attended a lot of launch events … I mean … a lot. So many of them were awesome events, but the format has become familiar — it works well for a tech focused audience.

What Pixel did last year and again this year was to rethink this event and try their message. I know some folks had thoughts on it, but it's really cool that the team took the risk to try something different to reach new audiences. And clearly, this approach paid off – Made by Google 2025 attracted 5x more views than the year before. And the viewership for this year's event is looking even better!

Huge congrats to the Pixel team for putting on another great event tonight. They continued to take smart risks to deliver a memorable show, and people are talking about it.
