I don't know if anyone from that fandom will see this or not, but I'll say this: I really understand what they mean when they ask for gameplay. They just want to see what's actually inside the game from a player's POV. But we all need to understand that it is way too early for ht now. The game is still in the development stage. That kind of footage won't be out until they have at least completed the CBT stages. LaDs only started global marketing after all of their CBT stages were finished, but SiWh is sharing their progress equally with both global and CN players as the game is actively being developed.
The footage we saw is the gameplay. We got to see how we can take photos in the game and how certain interactions might take place. Yes, because the game UI was hidden, it looked cinematic like the guys were just posing or like they were just cutscenes. But that was the whole point! They wanted to show that they have created a game with such incredible graphics and lifelike models, while still keeping their own unique style.
This was for Unreal Engine Fest, after all. You should have seen the livestream comments; people were genuinely excited and shocked that an otome game could have such high-quality visuals.
I am not saying people shouldn't ask for gameplay or offer criticism that is completely natural. We all tag the devs all the time saying we want updates about the boys. BUT, please, when someone explains the development process to you, try to understand it.
Do not just dismiss them, and please respect the devs' hard work. STOP with the false allegations and the "smear campaign" bs.
Look, if you don't like the game, just ignore it. Isn't that exactly what everyone has been telling the Valko haters to do that they can just ignore him? (Even though that’s technically impossible since he’ll be in the same game if he's released.)
This is an entirely different game. You can easily ignore it instead of acting like a bully toward a small fandom full of enthusiasts who are just excited for an upcoming game.
Don't act like you all are being "reasonable" and "just asking for gameplay." No, you are bullying others because of what you faced during the Valko thing, and now you want someone to vent all that built-up frustration on.
This is exactly what the Caleb girlies did to Valko, and what the Sylus girlies did to Caleb and Valko just trying to project the bullying they went through onto Valko enthusiasts. Well, he got cancelled because that was PPG, but SiWh will not get cancelled. Instead, you all are going to get answers sometimes humble, sometimes aggressive and then, yes, fandom fights will happen.
How about we just don't go there and peacefully exist instead? No?
