I was Director of Engineering at AMEX a year ago. They are doing this so that they can rehire in India. The inside story is MUCH WORSE than that though.

Amex has been doing silent layoffs for years. As director, the VP told me to gradually increase expectations on engineers so “for cause” When you do this as a leader you get a backfill head to hire for. The caveat at AMEX? The backfill head was already decided for you - they were in India, and usually from a body shop firm.

Ask me anything about how AMEX is screwing over Americans in the replies.

@HarmeetKDhillon @andrealucasEEOC @USEEOC I am willing to testify/name names/do whatever is necessary to curb this anti American abuse.

Total closure is the moderate option
@RonDodson We should be clear that this behavior is a violation of school rules that certainly exist, but are not being enforced.

There is no solution within the current system that the system will permit.

Total closure of all public schools has to be on the table.

@RonDodson: Even where a decision is defensible, the breach can weaken the trust that sustains an electoral coalition. Republicans risk losing persuadable voters and depressing turnout among their supporters who believed they had voted against another Middle Eastern war.

I just want to make a point real quick. For 30 years the Minnesota GOP supported and defended the Somalian community in Minnesota. GOP voters were told "These are natural conservative voters". The Minnesota GOP called their own voters racist when concerns of crime and non assimilation were brought up.

Somalians have never once ever voted for the GOP. They are 80-20 Democrat voters and this was after the GOP catered to them and turned over their own communities in Minnesota to them for 30 years.

Below is a video of the 3rd most powerful congressman in the national GOP calling voters in St. Cloud racist for not wanting Somalians being dumped in their city.

Anyone who tells you to ignore how a group votes and tells you to instead cater to them so that group one day votes for you is either lying or stupid. x.com/WomanDefiner/s…

Some people have raised the issue that @nayibbukele's military intervention in Haiti might turn into an actual genocide.

This raises many pressing questions like "do they actually have enough ammo to do that?" and "if not, can I contribute to their gofundme?"
🇭🇹 #Haiti: The leader of the “Unité Bawon Laplèn” (UBP) gang, Lanmò SanJou, is seen blessing gang members and their weapons with rum as they "prepare for war".

The security situation in Haiti continues to deteriorate rapidly. Police and international forces have launched major d gangs following a recent ambush that left two police officers dead while on patrol.
