It’s absolutely bizarre how far the Overton window has moved in the last couple of years.

The only time I’ve seen something similar (but in direct opposition) was what happened with the LGBTQ, BLM, etc. groups from 2010-2020.

We’re back. White Boy Summer is nearly upon us, gentlemen.

This is 30 minutes from my house.

When we win, I’m physically helping to tear this down.
Btw, when we win, we are tearing this down.

I’m not gonna come out and pretend like The Odyssey was some hidden masterpiece.

But has anyone noticed that the entire premise of the problems at home in Ithica were created by people taking advantage of Zeus’ law? It was demanded that they treat the strangers in their home well, but those “strangers” were abusing the purpose of the aid — fine dining, drinking wine, and hurting members of the home.

Almost like we’re seeing that exact problem play out in America.

Not sure if the AI contributor for community notes is Grok (though I’m not sure why X would use a different AI), but why is Grok calling a girl named Ellen “He”

As a big fan of your work, I think this outlook is deeply pessimistic and overlooks human nature.

It would’ve been easy — at an point in human history, mind you — for people to say the same thing about those with influence pushing for positive change.

Imagine the Christians in Europe saying the pope calling for a crusade was just bread and circuses. Or, as the church was gaining influence in Rome, that the church’s influence was just bread and circuses.

I understand that blackpilling is easily, and perhaps even logically defensible, but it’s demoralizing and pointless.

I do concur that these sorts of silly arguments are ultimately meaningless, but we must continue to speak the truth. The truth breaks through darkness, it’s always won in the end, and I refuse to believe that’ll change even in the worst of circumstances.

Maybe we’ll collapse first, though I happen to believe God will sustain us, but we will win in the end, and every post, every radio show, every podcast, every YouTube video, every meeting, and every single moment we impact others can (and will) be used for God’s glory and our good.
We're not really changing anything on here. It's actually all just bread and circuses. We sometimes feel we have a voice that's carrying weight because our posts might reach a lot of people. It's an illusion of power. The reality is that a juggernaut has been gaining speed for a very long time with its path headed directly towards American civilization and the West.

All we can do is brace for impact.

Posting won't fix it. All we do is argue online over dumb shit like this, like someone is keeping score.

MAJOR POLICY SHIFT IN HOUSTON:
Houston's city council voted 12-5 during their meeting yesterday to END police cooperation with ICE - essentially creating a Sanctuary City.
Houston Mayor John Whitmire promised to be tough on crime. He cast one of those 12 votes.

Back in October, when Wesley Hunt began his campaign, I made it clear that I didn’t understand the argument that he’d pull more votes from Cornyn than from Paxton.

Of course, it’s still an educated guess, but based on the election results, it’d seem Paxton lost a large share of his supposed voters to Hunt and now we’ll have a runoff election for the seat.
@KennethRWebsteretely counterintuitive.

Of course, up to this point, Paxton has been the anti-Cornyn vote.

This assumption relies on the belief that potential Cornyn voters have more in common with Hunt than potential Paxton voters do.

And that seems like a bizarre belief. What am I missing?

The ultimate libertarian position is “if it doesn’t hurt anyone else, I should have the freedom to do it!”

Turns out that argument doesn’t actually function for a moral country with basic standards.
The current chairman of the Libertarian Party of Texas is a polygamist "worship leader" who "counsels plural families."

These people are unserious and disgusting. #txlege

Mr. President, I have credible information that every single foreigner in the state of Texas are collectively *this close* to developing a nuclear weapon.

For those of us who live in Texas and have been paying attention, the attack in Austin was not a surprise.

We’ve long allowed the takeover of our state by foreign individuals, ideologies, and principles.

Those from Islamic nations, Hindu nations, Buddhist nations.

Just 10 minutes down the road from where I live, an area that used to be nice has been turned into halal central, and we have no one to blame but the leaders in our state.

Something’s gotta change.

Grand opening at a Shipley near me in the morning.

First 100 guests get free donuts for a year.

We showed up a few hours beforehand — the second car parked in the lot. We’d been here with this other car for about half an hour when two black women pull up to park.

They immediately hopped out of their car and threw a chair in front of the door, claiming they were saving their “first spot in line”

Now they’re yelling and dancing — at 12:15 am in front of a Shipley donuts.

I’m so shocked.

I have a hot take:

I don’t think we should deport the illegal pedos, rapists, drug traffickers, thieves, or murderers.

There’s a third option.

What are y’all’s thoughts on the ongoing Grok fiasco?

Obviously, all pornography should be illegal.

The question then arises — make it impossible for Grok to perform such actions, or punish any user who prompts Grok to perform such actions?

Or both?
