Just a reminder: in 1995, Chicago experienced a major heat wave. Almost 800 people died. Afterward, there was a concerted effort to provide air conditioners and cooling centers. In 2012 there was a worse heat wave but only 26 people died as a result.

This is such a selfish statement. They want to create art that no one else values while someone else works and subsidizes their lifestyle choices. Pre-capitalist life was not some utopia. Capitalism has created the prosperity necessary for increased leisure time.
I genuinely DO NOT like the concept of capitalism. I don’t want to work my job every day. I want to make art. I want to be in my garden. I want to feel something.
