Super excited to finally share Dynamic Workflows in Claude Code!!

We built this a couple months ago, and it has slowly become a daily driver for a bunch of people at Anthropic. A few tips for getting the most out of it 🧵

New in Claude Code (research preview): dynamic workflows.

Claude writes an orchestration script on the fly, then spins up a large fleet of coordinated subagents in parallel to take on your most complex tasks.

Use the word "workflow" in a prompt to get started.

Background subagents in Claude Code now use less of your usage limit.

A running subagent updates its status line every 30 seconds, and each update used to re-read its whole conversation. Now Haiku 5.5 writes it from short notes instead, so each update costs about 99% less.

Dynamic workflows don't have to be hundreds of subagents btw! I use them for any task I want to rerun the same way, even just ~10 subagents

It's a JavaScript file you can edit, so you have full control over the subagents and the order they run in. More predictable than a skill!

ultrathink is back baby!!
ultrathink is back in the CC CLI.

We turned this off for a while because it's weird and maybe confusing.

But I like weird, and I don't think it's that confusing.

I mostly run Opus 5.5 on medium. Some turns, though, I want to put a little extra mustard on it. ultrathink!

You can now mod Claude Code:

- Change how it behaves
- Customize the UI
- Swap in your own features

Write one with a few lines of TypeScript, or have Claude build it for you. Mods ship inside plugins, so you install them with /plugin in the CLI or desktop app.

A few examples:

Opus 5.5 has been the most enjoyable model I’ve used in a long time. It’s a big step up in coding (understands intent better and writes better code), but an even bigger step up in communication imo

Give it a shot, and tell us what you think
Introducing Claude Opus 5.5, the first model in our new Claude 5.5 family.

It performs at the level of Claude Fable 5.1 for most tasks, and costs 40% less to run than Opus 5.

i've been daily driving projects for the past few weeks and it's an incredibly powerful way to interact with claude and get more done
my first biiiiiig launch at anthropic is finally here!! 🫶

projects are a huge labor of love from the claude code team - it's the only way i've been working with claude for the last several months (including using projects...to build projects!!)

spam the coordinator with any and all tasks you have on the fly, and watch claude smartly delegate your work to threads and report back to you with only the things that need your attention. enjoy <33

Fable 5.1 is here. Faster, smarter, cheaper and talks like a sane person
We’re introducing Claude Fable 5.1 and Claude Mythos 5.1.

They're the world’s most advanced models for coding and knowledge work.

Today we’re releasing an early preview of the /design command in Claude Code!

from CC Desktop or CLI, try something like "/design a few options for {feature}" before you build — pick your fave artboard, edit it and implement.

I think a lot of people don't realize- if you connect a Claude Connector (e.g. your gmail, calendar, slack, etc), Claude Code will also be able to use them, including in Artifacts.

This is your reminder to be more ambitious with fable. Give it larger tasks than you've ever given an LLM before, let it figure out the details for you, experiment!

You can only feel the frontier by going past it first
hello there the jacobian conjecture is false thanx to my close friend akhil for asking about it and my other close friend fable for working during the world cup final

((1+xy)^3 z + y^2 (1+xy) (4+3xy), y + 3 x (1+xy)^2 z + 3 x y^2 (4+3xy), 2 x - 3 x^2 y - x^3 z): \C^3\to \C^3, has jacobian determinant -2, and sends (0, 0, -1/4), (1, -3/2, 13/2), and (-1, 3/2, 13/2) to (-1/4, 0, 0)

Claude Code artifacts are now available for pro and max subscribers! Ask Claude to create an artifact to walk you through a PR or architecture for your project, create data dashboards, mock up UIs and anything else that requires rich html.

Just ask Claude to "create an artifact"

Works especially well with Fable because I can let it run for hours at a time and just ask for an artifact to catch me up and eli5

Try it out and let us know what you think! Lots more coming soon :)
Artifacts in Claude Code are now also available on Pro and Max plans.

Ask for an artifact, Claude writes the code, publishes it live to claude.a‍i, and updates it in real time while it keeps working. Pages are private to your account and fully self-contained.

Here's an example of data visualization using artifacts. I can get 80% of my dashboarding needs met by this today. If you're on a Teams on Enterprise plan you can even share this with your team

PR reviews, code walk throughs and architecture diagrams with Artifacts are now a part of my daily workflow. Especially as the models start doing more autonomously, a high fidelity render of it's approach really helps get up to speed quickly

Fable is back on the menu!
We’ve received notice that the Department of Commerce has lifted export controls on Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5.

We'll begin restoring access tomorrow, and will share an update soon.

We’re grateful to our users for their patience, and to everyone who worked with us on redeploying the models.

Introducing Claude Tag, a new way for teams to work with Claude.

In Slack, Claude joins as a team member with access to the channels and tools you choose. Tag Claude in and delegate tasks to it while you focus on other work.
