Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results.

Since independence, Nigeria has changed leaders. Yet poverty persists, institutions weaken and the social fabric continues to decay.

What if we’ve been asking the wrong question?

While young men dreamt of kneeling before the damsel of their dreams to ask "will you marry me?" In the quietness of my own lonely world, I always wondered, "who will marry me?" Why will any jewel, divinely crafted, choose to fuse her heart and life with mine?

My past was a healing. My future not so certain for nothing was really promised. I had no comeliness for which I was to be desired. The burdens of the Lord had "damaged" me so; kneeling with a ring in my hand was not a luxury I could afford nor a thought worthy to entertain. To this day, I still unsuccessfully labour to unravel the mystery that is your choice to do destiny with me, my jewel.

Alas, you took an irreversible leap of faith into the unknown. Choosing to be my bride even when it did not make sense to. You locked your hands, eyes, and heart with mine and promised to follow wherever I lead. You have lived with me, warred with me, cried with me, and stood by me. My wife, my beloved, my companion, my fellow-missionary, prophet, warrior, and intercessor. The greatest treasure God has given to me after Himself.

Every time I look at you, It is easy to see that you were sculptured different. Nothing; not your beauty or love mirror anything earthly or fallen. In a world where love has been tokenised and intimacy has become transactional, you, my darling, like a typhoon breeze have lavished love on me rocking the very essence of my being and uprooting any doubts locked within crevices of my soul. You make loving and obeying Jesus easy and loving you a divine adventure.

Seventeen years have flown by so quickly. Seems like just yesterday our journey of faith began. At the beginning you chose me, now I choose you everyday. I am permanently locked in, and look forward to forever. Loving you freely and unconditionally, until Jesus comes to take us home.

Happy 17th Anniversary, Babe ❤️

I’m not arguing that everything we inherited is bad or that whoever introduced our current system had bad intentions.

I’m asking a more fundamental question

Have we ever rigorously investigated whether the system we inherited is the one best suited to our needs as a people?

Marry someone baseline happy. Marry someone who prioritizes their fitness and health. Marry someone who has strong relationships with family. Be good and honest and never quit working.
I’m getting married in a week. Any advice for guys who are just getting into marriage?

Waking up at 5 AM is a total cheat code for time. By 10 AM, you’ve already lived three full lives, conquered your to-do list, and earned the right to a midday nap.

Hate to break it to you but not being fat, fixing your sleep, lifting weights, eating a whole food diet, spending time in nature, getting 7-10k steps a day, and not getting easily offended fixes 90% of your problems.

@KaganTech Poor, as in monetarily/financially speaking?

No now, you cannot generalize this now. You can’t write them all off, yet.

I understand there are leeches and parasites here and there.

But there are also women of stature who just need the right environment to emerge.

A video emerged and it's going viral on social media, Dutch police seen interrupting a Nigerian wedding in the Netherlands, assaulting people at the wedding venue.
Some people claim they were making so much noise and in odd hours in the neighborhood.
Trust Nigerians with their aces .

Until we can successfully alter the prevailing mindset of the average Nigerian, we will recycle every supposed development or innovative process. At our core, “there is a way, we think, as a people.” If we can achieve this with 50% of the population. We’re on our way to freedom.

This thread may never trend. I have virtually no audience here.

I’m putting it out anyway.

Some ideas deserve to exist beyond the minds that first conceived them.

We cannot keep changing the people at the top while refusing to examine the system beneath them.

END.

If democracy is best for us, let us build one that genuinely works.

If our investigation points to a better arrangement, let us have the courage to examine it.

But I refuse to believe that our current reality is the best Nigeria can achieve.
