Any comment on how embarrasing it is that EVERY SEC TEAM has scheduled an FCS cupcake game EVERY YEAR over the last few decades????

I'll wait.....

Look at the the ball bouncing after the pass fell incomplete. Then look at the clock. There was one second left. Should have been 2nd and goal! ND gets screwed again!

Do you smell it?

Is that smell of… a reunion?

Abbott: “No one wants to say that we sucked this year. But that’s what we need. We need the guys in leadership roles to sit back and be like, ‘I’ve played a lot of ball, we could have been a lot better and this is what we should do and focus on.’”

Pleading ignorance and disinterest on obvious issues of public interest that you are directly involved in is one of the highest forms of white privilege.

Do better #KirkHerbstreit. Smh
ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit comments on Ted Cruz’s controversial appearance on "College GameDay."

Cruz appeared as a guest speaker on Sept. 12, where he promoted The Protect College Sports Act. The promotion drew criticism — with viewers pointing to a lack of an opposing viewpoint.

Being a huge #SECfootball fan a day after that pathetic conclusion to the #LindsayClancyTrial is a very conflicting feeling.

It’s just REALLY hard to hate men during football season, but I’ll try my best.

Except for #KirkHerbstreit. I just know my guy loves women voting.

Hot (and probably unpopular) take: I’m tired of @KirkHerbstreit. Went from must-watch to mute button hero. Too much everywhere, same takes, OSU bias vibes, and the dog routine is wearing thin. Who’s with me? @ESPNCFB @CollegeGameDay #CFB #KirkHerbstreit

I mean #KirkHerbstreit used to be one of the best in the game, but his takes have been off the rails over recent years.

IF there was any way for #OleMiss and #LaneKiffin to work things out, it'd have had to have happened weeks ago—but when you see the way it wound up going down and how the people of #Oxford literally were standing on the other side of the fence at a private airport, flipping him off and cussing him out ... c'mon, Kirk.

We know you're new to this whole #SEC thing as a mouthpiece and paid shill for #ESPN—but break-ups like this are always nasty and ugly and there was never any scenario where Kiffin could've stayed on if the #Rebels knew he was leaving.

Outside of the university not wanting to give him more face time with players to poach away, or to coach the team on national television while #LSU is his new home ... talk about the elephant in the room as they'd set up to host a playoff game knowing the clock could hit 0:00 and he's leaving the stadium and straight to the airport to fly away.

All's fair in love and war and this thing ended as ugly as expected.

If you REALLY wanted to comment on the state of things, here are two more logical topics you'd never touch with a ten-foot pole:

— Changing some college football timelines so there isn't an early signing period literally the week between the end of the regular seats and championship Saturday, as well as a later transfer portal window as early January still have CFP games underway.

We have a system where a head coach cannot leave one good job for a better job without causing absolute chaos.

Used to be only two teams effected if they were chasing a natty; now you have a dozen teams (theoretically) in the hunt and a CPF system that has a semifinals running January 8th and 9th—while the portal is open the 2nd through the 16th.

— Next up, as I'm sure all our #FloridaState brethren are dying to know; what happens to Ole Miss as a CFP team now that they lost their head coach and some offensive assistants? All those "other relevant factors such as unavailability of key players and COACHES" that could "affect a team's postseason performance"?

You picked a side in the #JordanTravis debate and what that #Seminoles team looked like without their star quarterback going into the 2023 postseason—and not saying I disagreed with you—but by letter of the law, are you not going to acknowledge that Ole Miss is in a real bind here with Kiffin gone and where the Rebels deserve to be ranked going into the postseason?

We're all ears.
Kirk Herbstreit implores Ole Miss administrators to allow Lane Kiffin to coach the Rebels — if he leaves for LSU — and let him finish what he and his players started.

#KirkHerbstreit has gotten bigger than college football and once #Disney paid $3-billion for #ESPN to own a decade's worth of #SEC television rights, Herby fell in lock-step and now toes the company line ... so calling people 'idiots' and trying to say he 'doesn't give a shit' about the conference; it's such disingenuous posturing.

ESPN is now #eSECpn and everybody on that channel is literally PAID to back the ten-figure investment.

It's plain as day to anybody that isn't a blind-loyalist of the conference and for those who don't see it, explain how and why teams like #Tennessee and #Missouri are in the Top 25.

The Vols have three losses and haven't beaten a ranked team all year; wins over Syracuse, East Tennessee State, UAB, Mississippi State (OT), Arkansas (by three), Kentucky and New Mexico State—while losing to #Georgia, #Alabama and #Oklahoma.

The Tigers are in the same boat; three losses and Missouri's wins are over Central Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, South Carolina, Massachusetts, Auburn and Mississippi State—while losing to Alabama, Vanderbilt and Texas A&M.

Yet somehow Tennessee is ranked No. 20 and Missouri is ranked No. 22—three-loss teams with ZERO impressive wins—as it's the same economy the #CFP is using for #NotreDame with "impressive loses" carrying more weight than "impressive wins".

By keeping Tennessee and Missouri in the Top 25, that now gives an Alabama two more wins over "ranked teams" when the CFP and ESPN start shucking and jiving to get the Crimson Tide into the postseason; which they will continue doing even if they fall to Auburn and are a three-loss team.

They're hyping that Alabama has "beaten four ranked teams this year"—two of which are Tennessee and Missouri; the others are Georgia and #Vanderbilt—and mark it down right now; if the Commodores lose to the Vols and take that third loss, bet your ass they stay in the Top 25 and are still "in the hunt".

This sport was fucked the minute ESPN bought SEC television rights and Herby is coming off super-cucked here lashing out at real college football fans calling out his falling in lockstep with his bosses at Disney.
