I actually remembered to include the Spanish subtitles in the video this time. For all other languages:
youtu.be/FJFiu8JL3R8 English, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), Chinese (Simplified), Portuguese (Brazil), Polish, French
@LeosTake26 still doesn't have my permission to reupload my stuff even if he pretends to be confused about this for the 20th time in a row.

In the afternoon Daphne took the high-backed chair nearest the fire, the one that faced the stone wall. Everybody who came in had to pass it, and sooner or later Draconia would have to come in. She opened a copy of Witch Weekly on her knee and did not read it.
Crabbe and Goyle had the sofa across the fire, Crabbe at the end nearest her chair, both of them sprawled with their feet stretched out to the warmth and nothing much to do until dinner.
Pansy arrived at half past two, pink from a morning's worth of telling, and dropped into the chair opposite.
"Have you heard?"
Daphne, who had heard it three times since ten o'clock, said, "Heard what?"
"Potter," said Pansy, and paused to let it land. "Potter, at breakfast, walks right up to our table. In front of everyone. To ask her to the ball."
"Potter did," said Daphne.
"Potter. And she cut him dead."
"What did he say?"
"Nothing! Well — 'Malfoy.'" Pansy dropped her voice into something deep and stupid that was not much like Potter's. "That's all he got out. And she doesn't even look at him. She just turns to the Durmstrang boy, all—" she lifted her chin and looked down her nose, which was not much like Draconia either, "—and asks if there was something he wanted to say. And he says yes, would she come to the ball, and she says yes. Right there. In front of Potter. And Potter's just standing there, going red."
"Not on one knee, then."
"On one knee? Who said that?"
"A Ravenclaw."
"Ravenclaws," said Pansy, as though that explained everything. "No. She cut him absolutely dead."
By tomorrow, in Pansy's version, Potter would have cried. Daphne took the bones of it and left the rest.
"So he never actually asked her."
"Well, he didn't get to," said Pansy, as though that were the whole point, which in a way it was.
Daphne smiled at her, and Pansy, encouraged, went on.
"The Durmstrang boy," said Daphne. "Not Krum?"
"Krum? Who said Krum?"
"Millicent."
"Millicent can't tell Durmstrangs apart. No, his friend. The one with the eyebrows. And that's the best bit, because he'd already come over once, before Potter, all polite and foreign, and Crabbe sent him off. Just told him she wasn't interested, and off he went."
"Crabbe told him," said Daphne, and looked across the fire.
Crabbe pushed his shaggy hair out of his eyes, shrugged, and nodded, as though it had been the easiest thing in the world. Beside him Goyle, who was taller and said even less, did not look up.
"And then she calls him back! In front of Potter!"
You did not send a boy away and call him back at the same breakfast because you had changed your mind, thought Daphne. You did it because of who was watching.
"How decisive of her," she said.
"Wasn't it? I did think it was a bit funny, actually, because when he first came over I asked her what she'd been keeping from me, and she went all mysterious on me, so I thought she must have been asked already, and then she goes and says yes to him, so who—"
"Him, I expect," said Daphne. "She only sent him away to make him ask properly."
"Ooh." Pansy's eyes went round. "To make him grovel. In front of Potter!" She laughed so hard she had to hold on to the arm of Daphne's chair.
Daphne smiled, and let her keep it.
"And afterwards, on the way out," said Pansy, wiping her eyes, "I said to her, was he going to ask you? Was he really? And she didn't say a word. Not one. Just looked at me. And then there's Granger on the stairs, staring at her like— I don't know what—"
Daphne stopped turning pages.
Draconia had never in her life let a triumph go by without making sure everyone saw her collect it. She had been handed one in front of the whole school, and she had not said a word.
Potter had not been asking anyone anything. Daphne had known that since lunch, when she heard he'd asked one of the Patils the night before. So he had walked across the hall to say something else, and Draconia had stopped him saying it. Now she would not even tell the story everyone else was telling for her. And Granger, who would cross a corridor to avoid her, had stood on the stairs and stared.
Whatever Potter had come to say, Draconia did not want it said.
The stone wall slid open.
Crabbe and Goyle had the sofa across the fire, Crabbe at the end nearest her chair, both of them sprawled with their feet stretched out to the warmth and nothing much to do until dinner.

Draconia came in out of the dark, pink with cold, her hair coming down on one side, a broom over her shoulder. She stopped just inside, very briefly, the way people do when they walk into a room that has just been talking about them. Then she came on.
"There you are!" cried Pansy. "Where have you been? We were just talking about you!"
"How flattering," said Draconia, and did not stop walking.
She meant to go straight up, Daphne saw: past the fire and up the stairs to the dormitories, without stopping for anyone.
"You've been flying," said Daphne.
"Obviously."
She said obviously, Daphne had noticed long ago, when nothing was.
"In December."
"Somebody in this house has to stay in practice."
"Ooh," said Pansy, "the Seeker," as though that explained everything, and Draconia was almost at the foot of the stairs.
"Anyway, sit," Pansy called after her. "You have to hear. Everyone's talking about it, the whole school, and it serves Potter right. Nobody'll go with him now—"
Daphne had been keeping it since lunch. She had not given it to Pansy, who would only have wasted it. She had kept it for exactly this: Draconia nearly out of reach, and Pansy having just said the one thing it would correct.
"Except he'd already asked one of the Patils," she said, in the voice she used for the weather. She was not looking at Pansy. "Last night."
"Last night?" Pansy's mouth fell open. "Then what did he want with her?"
Draconia stopped, one foot on the bottom stair.
There, thought Daphne.
It was nothing, really. She had only stopped. But a girl with nothing to hide would have gone on up the stairs and let Pansy wonder.
"Hang on," said Pansy, "which Patil?"
"Does it matter?"
Pansy shrieked, and on the sofa Crabbe and Goyle laughed too. Draconia turned round. She was smiling, and it was a perfectly good smile. It arrived about a second after everybody else's.
"But what did he want?" Pansy demanded, swinging round in her chair. "Draconia! What did he want?"
Draconia opened her mouth, and for once nothing came out of it.
Pansy frowned. It was always worth watching Pansy think, because it happened so seldom and took so long. One second. Two. At the foot of the stairs, one foot still on the bottom step, Draconia said nothing at all.
Then Pansy's face cleared. "Oh! Oh, I know! He was trying to trade up! He'd got a Patil and he thought he could do better! To you!"
"Then he has better taste than I gave him credit for," said Draconia, and went up the stairs.
Pansy screamed with delight. Crabbe and Goyle grinned at each other. Nobody watched Draconia go but Daphne.
It didn't matter, Daphne thought, that Pansy had filled the silence; Pansy always filled silences. Daphne had counted. Draconia, who had an answer for everything, had stood at the foot of the stairs for two whole seconds without one.
And then she had taken the rope Pansy threw her and tied it off before anyone saw her reach for it. It was very good. It was almost perfect.
Daphne turned a page.
"Better taste," said Pansy, still laughing. "Did you hear her? Isn't she awful?" She sounded delighted.
"Vincent," said Daphne, without looking up. "Where did she go yesterday? Before dinner?"
Crabbe, who had his eyes half shut, opened one. "Library."
"On the last day of term."
Crabbe shrugged.
"Did she say anything when she got back?"
He looked at her for a moment. It was not an unfriendly look.
"You'd have to ask her," he said, and shut his eye again.
Daphne smiled. She could wait.
So Vincent Crabbe had a line, and that was where it was. She found that she liked him rather better for it.
"There you are!" cried Pansy. "Where have you been? We were just talking about you!"
"How flattering," said Draconia, and did not stop walking.

Here's all the parts together. I included Spanish subtitles in the video here, and I have a bunch of other languages here: youtu.be/3ieOEFLKMD4
Just so there's no ambiguity at all @LeosTake26 does not have my permission to reupload this, nor any of my other content he's been acting like a dickhead when people call him out on it.
This is all the parts combined, with some fixes for the stuff that bothered me the most, just because I would probably be working on this for a few more days if I tried to fix every single thing I noticed. I'm still working on writing the next parts up to the conclusion of the Yule Ball, and I'm working on the anime adaptation of everything here at the same time. I'm bit busier in the upcoming week so the pace is definitely slowing down but hopefully I can pick it back up once I've figured out the writing and this upcoming week is over. Thanks for watching.

Pt. 5
I want to explain a few things and my thinking behind them, because there are character traits I've made up in my head that I just don't have a good way to show on screen.
There are no Quidditch matches this year due to the Triwizard Tournament. Malfoy and Harry are ne thing: they both love Quidditch, and that's what they turn to in order to get away.
So Malfoy is holding it together despite her inner turmoil, and she just needs to get away: Pansy's incorrect interpretation of everything and constant chattering are driving her crazy, and she's also annoyed at what she interprets as Hermione's pity. She can't even use Quidditch as an escape, because now it's intrinsically tied to the fact that Harry is a better Seeker and beats her, so she's unable to escape the thought of him even in this refuge.
One of the things I thought was really missing was that I didn't see any reason for Harry to go and apologize to Malfoy if nothing else happened in between him shouting at her and the ball. I don't think randomly realizing he's in love with her when he sees her with some Durmstrang guy is sufficient. So I think what really needed to happen was that he needed to understand that he hurt her. He shouted at her because he thought she was mocking him, which she kind of was.
This is my interpretation of Malfoy that I had to make this work with: pride is the thing that gets in the way of what she wants. She's more afraid of her vulnerability being exposed than she is of losing what she wants. So her being shouted at when she got carried away and started stating what she really wanted hurt deeper than if she'd just been shouted at without that context.
So how does Harry learn that he's truly hurt Malfoy without it being even more contrived than I've made it? Hermione could nag him, but he's convinced that Malfoy was just mocking him. Hermione doesn't have the true insight, so she can't reason it into him; she just thinks what he did was wrong. Him being humiliated when he was begrudgingly attempting to apologize, while being pushed to do so by a friend, is what I think makes him want to escape as well. Both of them have Quidditch as an escape, and both have good reason to think they can be alone there.
There was no way to show this on screen other than the contrast between how Malfoy is when she's alone and how she chooses to present herself in front of other people. It would certainly be Harry's first time seeing her vulnerable, and for her, I think that would be her worst nightmare.
Anyways, all of this was to set that up. I just really needed a reason for Harry to have the motivation to apologize, because I felt like that was missing.
I know the ending for the Yule Ball now, but my next step is to turn all of these into one video, clean up some of the stuff I want to, maybe add some more scenes to give more context, and begin some of the anime adaptations, because I know some people have been really patient for those. I need time to figure out some meaningful beats before the ending regardless, and I'll be thinking about that while I attend to turning this into a full video and the anime adaptations. Hopefully I figure out the shape of it soon and we can continue on to the next part, which will have a different title.
Thanks for watching and thanks for reading.

This is an older video that made Finalists for the BreveMente International Cinefest - they require Italian subtitles and I thought it was interesting to see it against Latin, as I don't interact with Italian much, although I'm warming up to the idea as they seem more receptive typical Californian judges 😄
Thanks Italian bros. English CC is available on the video or burned in on the original, but there really isn't that much dialogue.

Powers of the ninefold celestial hierarchy land on earth to establish a beachhead when hell has broken loose.
This is the finished piece from my earlier WIP for my ongoing series - WRATH. Thanks for all the support and appreciation, it encouraged me to really try to make this d submit it to Lumara Film Festival hosted by @AskVenice
I do want to say seeing so many of you appreciate the details that I spent time trying to get right that usually goes unnoticed in the AI space was worth more to me than all the contest wins I've ever had before. Thank you.
For those that really like this, my plan is to continue making this and posting it for free (here and on Youtube). I am grateful to be a creative partner and have the support of @ViduAI_official so the only limitation is my ability to write. It's a longshot, but the thing I want the most at this point is to get some help/guidance from an established writer who is interested.
The last thing I want to mention is that I have full Russian and Japanese subtitle support in the Youtube Playlist in my bio. On @HelloCivitai where I have the largest following, I started including RU CC when I noticed the Russian speaking demographic there; Japanese is more prevalent here, so Japanese subtitles are enabled on this video as X only allows one subtitle track.
Thanks again!

I'm probably not setting the right expectation when I say that I don't plan on t I can't promise daily uploads I appreciate all the offers for financial support, I've stated before why it's not necessary, but I think I realized another reason is that I would hate for someone to pay and me to take a direction they hate. I haven't listed a writer for this part because while the first part youtu.be/os8ULNNjEWI was based on a comic by x.com/Grin2702, I just felt like jumping to the next part, it didn't make sense without more stuff happening first. I think that Harry wouldn't apologize to her unless he knew he hurt her and with how things played out in the first part, he doesn't necessarily know that. I felt like for it to make sense he would have to know he did. I also see Malfoid as someone who's pride gets in the way of her admitting what she wants as the primary conflict. That doesn't really align with a lot of the popular fan fictions and comics I've seen people referencing so some people might be disappointed with the direction I take things. For those that don't like the direction I'm going, that's fine, and from what I can tell, it seems like most of the other Malfoid content on here and youtube will scratch your itch.
I've been struggling a lot with writing for my own original stuff, and I wanted to use Malfoid to improve my own writing stuff, so everything in this part has been my own writing. It seems that a lot of people do like it, but I've seen some people not really like it. I guess it would feel bad if some of those people had donated and ended up hating it, and also I think I want to feel free to do what I want creatively, which has always been important to me. I've been posting videos on here for quite some time to very little views and it hasn't bothered me; I only make things that I want to make and I want to continue that. Thanks for reading.

Sorry, no new part today, but I wanted to work in a hint of things to come. I've been wanting to do something for this song: youtu.be/UHvk10LwuSgThe… is a download link in the description, as well as a backup drive folder for all the songs, because you guys hit my download limit co/Ek9okiTjbF😂
I also made a tiktok and instagram if you use those, I set them up and I think I have them all backfilled now and all my links: linktr.ee/schmede_ai
Just a few things: I was planning on just adapting only what was shown in "I wasn't Joking" youtu.be/os8ULNNjEWII wasn't planning on doing the next "canonical" part because it didn't speak to me like the first part. This whole section I've been working on now is me trying to make sense of things that would have to take place before the ending would make sense. I had a bunch of apprehension about taking donations and all of that because I just didn't see a way that made sense to me, i had one in mind that I think was going to make a lot of people unhappy (I would have done it anyways) that made sense to me. I think stories have to be driven by the characters first, and never by the results that we want before that. But I think I figured it out now. I don't want to reveal anymore, but I think that if you like what I've been doing so far, you'll like what I have in mind. It's not going to be what was depicted in the comic, but I have a plan for the ending now, I just need to work through some of the details leading up to it. Thanks for reading.

Sorry about the weird pacing around Harry, the moderation is killing me, it took me 4 hours just to get the back of his head 😭, I haven't had a chance to check my emails since my channel blew up, I think I saw some creative partnership offers, I'll have to take a look and are more lax with the moderation, either way I need to change up my workflow. Next part probably take a bit longer to get out. Oh, French subtitles are on all videos now too.

“A galleon on the dragon.” Crabbe leaned over, smugly.
“Shut up Crabbe,” Draconia Malfoid replied, clasping her hands together.
A cannon erupted, and Potter appeared, with his messy black hair and his perpetually-cracked glasses, waving to the crowd. The dragon didn’t give him a beat, slamming its tail in his direction. He rolled out of the way, and Draconia yelped involuntarily. Goyle was laughing like an idiot beside her. Didn’t she know this was real?
“Accio Firebolt!” Potter shouted, and nothing happened. The dragon roared, blowing fire in all directions, straining against the chain that held it to the ground. Even from here, in the stands, the heat was almost unbearable. Potter leapt behind a rock, hiding himself from the flame. The dragon pressed harder, blowing more flame in his direction, its spines standing on end.
Suddenly, a broom shot into the arena, and Potter jumped onto it. The crowd erupted, chanting his name. Draconia had to bite back the urge to chant alongside them. Harry was showboating again, flying circles around the dragon. She rolled her eyes, smiling to herself.
“Typical Potter, cheating again.” said Goyle, with a mouthful of popcorn.
“Shut up Goyle.”
The chain snapped. Harry nearly fell off his broom in surprise as the dragon leapt up to bite at him. He zipped around the arena, the dragon hot on his tail, blasts of fire in every direction. The dragon swooped near the crowd, and hundreds ducked. Draconia frantically looked around for Dumbledore. Why isn’t anyone doing anything? Potter and the dragon continued to race, each bite and breath of flame just barely missing him. He flew over the stands, headed away from the crowd and towards Hogwarts. The crowd was completely silent, and all she could hear were flaps of dragon wings, fading into the distance.
Without thinking, she started pushing through the people beside her to exit the stands. Running down the stairs, her mind racing faster than her feet, bumping into people on her way out of the arena. Her legs carried her as fast as she could go, the cold wind biting at her face as she ran through the grass toward the front gate of Hogwarts. Harry and the dragon outpaced her, and she lost track of them as they continued their pursuit in between the high towers of Hogwarts.
Draconia reached the front gate, panting. She looked up and gasped. Harry had been knocked from his broom, scrambling on an outcropping with his broom out of reach. The dragon landed with a massive thud, and began slithering up the tower, its claws digging into the brick as it sniffed out its prey.
Draconia pulled out her wand, aiming it at the dragon. Her hands were shaking. She knew the words, her father had taught them to her. It’s not unforgivable to save a life, is it?
“AVADA KEDA-“
“EXPELLIARMUS!”
Her wand snapped out of her hand, landing in the grass. She spun around in a rage to see Professor Moody, pointing his wand at her.
“Don’t interfere, girl.”
“How dare you!” she shrieked, jumping towards her wand. Moody was faster, wrapping his arms around her, holding her in place.
“Let me GO!” she shouted, struggling against his hold, kicking her feet and screaming.
“Watch, girl.”
Harry was on his broom again, outrunning the dragon. But he wasn’t as fast as he was before. The dragon was getting closer, nipping at the back of his broomstick with each flap of its wings. They were headed towards the bridge.
Draconia squirmed out of Moody’s grasp, and leapt towards her wand, landing in the mud. She snatched it, rolled over, and aimed at the dragon hundreds of yards away.
“STUPEFY!”
Harry threaded the needle between the arches of the bridge, and the dragon stumbled in its attempt to follow, knocking itself against the hard stone. It shrieked in pain, slamming its head into the arches before spiraling into the chasm below.
“YES!” Draconia squealed, feeling relief wash over her. Moody gave her a contemptuous glare with that freakish false-eye of his.
“Come with me," Professor Moody growled, yanking her by the arm. She was so relieved she didn’t even care. From behind, she could hear the entire arena erupt in cheers.
They walked through the empty halls of Hogwarts in silence. Draconia couldn’t stop smiling to herself. Everyone else was away, watching the first task. Filch and his mangy cat were probably the only ones here, she thought. Moody took a drink of his flask. He was always doing that, drinking on the job. Another thing she’d have to tell her father about, how far Hogwarts has fallen to allow drunks to teach. Moody’s steps were belabored and uneven, and his false eye darted around in seeming paranoia. Eventually, they reached his office.
“Sit down.” he said, gruffly.
She did, choosing not to say anything.
Moody looked down at her ‘Potter stinks’ badge.
“Made those yourself, did you?”
“I most certainly did not.“
“Happy to wear something with his name on it. Hm? Is that it?”
“Excuse m-“
“Quiet. Dumbledore asked me to look after Potter. And the last thing he needs is some lovesick harpy meddling in the tournament, understand?”
“I tried to save him!” she shouted incredulously, standing as she did. How dare this brutish, ugly, vulgar, piece of-
Moody flicked his wand, and she was thrust back into her chair.
“You just as easily could’ve killed him. Then what, hm? You think of that? If that spell went a wee bit to the left and struck Mr. Potter?”
“I-“
“Think you can aim a spell with any accuracy from 500 yards, do you?”
She opened her mouth to respond, but couldn’t find the words.
“The killing curse as a first resort. You’re just like your father,” he continued.
She stayed silent. She really could’ve killed him. It would’ve been all her fault.
“I didn’t mean to.” she said, meekly.
“How do you think Mr. Potter would feel if he were to find out about this? Think he’d approve of you attempting to use the spell that killed his parents?”
“I was only trying to-“
“It doesn’t matter. Stay away from Potter.”
“What?!”
“You heard me. Whether you want to kiss him or curse him, he’s better off without you.”
Draconia’s jaw dropped in shock. The sheer audacity of this cretin to speak to her this way. She inhaled and exhaled slowly, composing herself as she stood.
“If that’s all, Professor, I will be going now,” she said, with ice in her voice.
Moody took another swig of his flask.
“Tell your father Professor Moody sends his regards.”
She bit her tongue and stood, storming out of the office. Moody only stared at her with that freakish eye of his as she did. Anger bubbled inside her. How dare he. This ugly creature thinks he can tell her what to do. This freak thinks he can lord his meager school authority over her? Her father would hear about this. Her father would take care of him. Her shoes clicked against the marble floor as she strode down the hallway. She entered the girl’s bathroom, brushing the dried mud on her robes onto the floor.
Draconia approached the sink, standing before a broken mirror, and bent down to wash the dirt from her face.
“Stay away from Potter?” she muttered, looking up to glare at herself in the cracked glass.
Never.
“Shut up Crabbe,” Draconia Malfoid replied, clasping her hands together.

Never.
"Riddikulus!"
A frilly pink dress suddenly materialized around the torso of the troll, who nearly dropped his club in surprise. Harry couldn't stop himself from smiling, and the whole class erupted in laughter.
"Well done, well done! Malfoid, you're up next!" said Professor Lupin.
This was their second lesson with the boggart, and it was even better than the last. Hard for it not to be, considering the last one was cut short. Harry shuddered just remembering it. The boggart assumes your biggest fear, and for him it took the form of a dementor.
"What kind of fear do you reckon she has? Being a frigid witch like she is, and all." Ron whispered to him.
"Probably a kitten." Harry snickered.
"Or a hippogriff." Ron replied.
The boys started chuckling to themselves, earning an irritated look from Hermione.
Malfoid stepped forward, wand at the ready, staring down the boggart. Harry wondered what form it would take. He didn't really know her that well, after all. Maybe it really would be a hippogriff. Harry remembered how proudly she told him that her father would be pushing to have Buckbeak executed, as if she expected him to be happy also. It shouldn't have attacked her, that's true. But to kill it?
The troll began to dissolve, shifting its form as it approached Malfoid. Like smoke, its skin began to melt to the floor, coalescing into a pair of black boots. The boggart shifted and changed, forming the bottom of a cane and a lonely pair of legs as it continued to rise upward. Malfoid looked uneasy. The confident pose she wore only moments before was replaced by one of apprehension.
"Riddi... Riddikul-" She was clutching her wand in fear, barely able to speak from breathing so fast. Tips of long platinum hair began to form on the unfinished torso of the boggart, and Harry noticed the top of the cane had formed into the head of a silver snake.
Malfoid turned and quickly ran out of the classroom, keeping her head down, and the boggart turned its attention to the student behind her, morphing into some sort of arachnid.
"Well that was a letdown," Ron whined, "We didn't even get to see what it was."
"Would someone be so kind as to check on Miss Malfoid? I can't leave the boggart unattended." Professor Lupin called out.
Harry's legs moved before his mind did. In fact, he was the only one who moved at all. Harry ran through the classroom door, and saw platinum hair swish around the corner at the end of the hall. He remembered his own encounter with the boggart, and the terror he'd felt. Thank goodness for Professor Lupin. Harry ran even faster after her as she turned to rush up the stairs.
"Malfoid!" He called, and she whipped her head around to glare at him.
"Don't look at me!" she shouted back.
Harry didn't listen. He never listened to what she told him to do anyway, so why start now? Hasty footsteps echoed around the stone walls of the spiral staircase as they both hurriedly ran up the tower. This was the astronomy tower, the highest tower in Hogwarts, and Harry did not forget that fact as his legs began to burn. Reaching the top, he pushed open the door, panting. This tower had tall archways exposed to the outside, and the floor was dusted with a light layer of snow.
"Malfoid?"
She didn't answer. Malfoid was nowhere to be seen. But he heard her, sitting behind one of the telescopes, sniffling to herself. Harry wiped his brow and sat on the other side of the telescope from her. Silence.
"That was your father, wasn't it?" Harry asked, softly.
Draconia stayed silent.
"The boggart, I mean." Harry quickly added.
She snorted. "I know, Potter."
An owl hooted in the rafters above.
"It's a foul thing to put in a classroom, something that takes on your biggest fear."
"I wasn't scared."
"Right."
"You wouldn't understand."
"I know how difficult family can be."
She sniffled, "I can imagine it would be difficult, yes, being raised by that oaf Hagrid like one of his beasts."
Harry started to regret even coming here.
"I wasn't raised by Hagrid, you dolt."
"Grew up in the wild, did you? Figures."
Harry really started to regret even coming here.
"I'm just kidding, Potter." she quietly added.
A gust of wind blew through the tower, then subsided. Harry rubbed his hands together to keep warm.
"You're right though. I don't know much about families. I haven't got one, not really. I was raised by my aunt, but to her I was more like, I dunno, a house elf or something."
"I'd like to meet her, I think her and I could get along." Draconia chuckled through a cracked voice.
"Not likely, she's a muggle after all."
"One of the good ones, I guess."
Harry rolled his eyes. This was like trying to pet a snake.
"Even she's not as bad as my Godfather. Sirius Black, if you'd believe me."
"You're right, I don't believe you."
"It's true. He was friends with my mum and dad."
"You're serious?"
"No, he's Sirius."
Draconia giggled. It was the first time Harry ever heard her laugh not at someone's expense.
They sat there in silence for another moment, backs to one another behind the telescope. Snow was blowing through the archways, and Harry shivered.
"What was it like?" Draconia asked.
"What was what like?"
"The dementor."
"Oh... I suppose... it was sort of like... I felt like I'd never be happy again."
"Oh."
"Yeah."
"It was a dementor too, that knocked you off your broom that day, wasn't it?"
"Yeah."
"I'm sorry." she said, with a softness in her voice he'd never heard before.
"Sorry for what?"
"Nothing."
He heard her teeth chatter. It really was cold up here. Harry stood up, and poked his head around to look at her. Draconia was looking away from him, holding her knees to her chest. Her eyes were red, and she was shivering. Harry took off his robe and wrapped it around her.
"Come on Draconia, let's get back to class."
She nodded, and stood, wiping her eyes and straightening her hair. She wasn't a snake. She was just a girl.
"Gryffindor robes are scratchy. What kind of street animal is this made of?"
Harry only rolled his eyes, and smiled. Maybe just a little bit of a snake.
