I am delighted to announce the official start of my ERC Consolidator Grant (IonPATH) at the University of Birmingham today (1 November 2026). Over the next five years, this €2.7 million project will explore next-generation ion-conducting polymers and membranes to enable more efficient electrochemical energy conversion, energy storage, and sustainable chemical manufacturing. I am deeply grateful to the European Research Council (ERC) for supporting my research vision, and to all the colleagues, collaborators, mentors, and team members who have supported me along the way. Special thanks to Imperial College London for its support over the past decade and to the University of Birmingham for supporting this exciting new chapter.
Looking forward to the discoveries and opportunities ahead!
