This is going to shock you.
I mean no one saw this coming…
Oh Wait
After the PDC changed the rules mid election to allow PACs supporting statewide candidates to take unlimited contributions:
SEIU just donated $250K to the Beware PAC
What is the purpose of the Beware pack? An reme court to ensure the constitutional protection against an income tax gets overturned by a hyper partisan group of judges
Shame on you PDC
I mean really, shame on you PDC
Changing the rules mid election seems way wrong
Even more shameful is that everyone paying attention knew that this was to allow big donations from public unions to PAC (see what i did there?) the courts
Fight back against this rotten corrupt system

What the Actual??? WA STATE CORRUPTION
WARNING TLDR
Who do you think seems more corrupt?
1) The public unions trying to buy Washington's Supreme Court races?
Or
2) The PDC, which suddenly changed the rules 12 days before the election so those unions can spend even more?
the 21-day late-money cap kicked in. Max $7,500 per donor to PACs.
Oct 22: the PDC suspended it. By "interpretive statement." No lawsuit. No ruling.
What it means:
In this final stretch, when voters are filling out ballots, the PDC changed the donation rules so there's no limit on what one donor can give a PAC. Checks of any size, right up to Election Day.
Who benefits:
The unions. SEIU, WEA and WFSE have already given $450K directly to the "Beware the Attack on Our Courts" PAC.
In addition SEIU, WEA and WFSE are also the largest donors to New Direction PAC, which has donated an additional $298K to the supreme court judicial “Beware” PAC
Until Oct 22, each of them could only give the court PAC up to $7,500 more before the election. Now they can give $500K. Or $5M. No Limits
Where does their money come from?
$165M+ a year flowing into SEIU, WEA and WFSE. Tax-exempt- taken from their members—each year.
5 Supreme Court seats on the ballot. A majority of the court.
How much of the Supreme Court does $165M buy? The PDC just gave the public unions the green light to find out.
Want judges not bankrolled by the public unions?
Vote.

More lies from Robert. Every working family will eventually pay this tax. The politicians have admitted it. Spending will be higher two years from now regardless of how this plays out. Nothing is getting cut either way.
No working family will pay this tax. But we will pay if it is repealed, in the form of worse schools, less health care, fewer public services. Vote NO on I-645.

It isn't a "millionaire tax"

Rep. DelBene says child care in WA is "a luxury many can't afford."
Why? That's the magic question.
"Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it." Ronald Reagan
Washington seems to have doubled down
IF IT KEEPS MOVING, REGULATE IT: Day Care
• Mandatory state rating system for subsidy providers (2015)
• A brand-new, overly paternalistic rulebook (2019)
• Credential mandates on a 5-year clock
• Permits, zoning, parking rules, certificates of occupancy
So it stopped moving. WA's neighborhood day cares, by the numbers:
• 2002: 6,983 licensed family home providers
• 2024: 3,695
• Nearly 3,300 home day cares gone
As supply cratered, shockingly, the price of day care skyrocketed (pesky economics):
• 2010: $9,607/yr
• 2024: $21,348/yr
• WA now ranks 5th most expensive in America
• Infant + toddler: $38,256/yr, about 30% of a married couple's median income
And where'd the care go?
• 63% of Washingtonians live in a child care desert
• Large centers now hold ~79% of capacity
IF IT STOPS MOVING, SUBSIDIZE IT:
• Taxpayer subsidies chase a shrinking supply, pushing prices even higher
• Then the 2025-27 budget delayed subsidy expansions and cut preschool slots
IF Something else MOVES, TAX IT: (to Subsidize the day care you killed)
• Capital gains tax sold "for child care": ~15% of the trust fund it feeds went to early learning and child care in 2023-25
• New income tax: 5% "for kids"... starting 2030... with $0 appropriated
Regulate grandma out of business. Subsidize the price up. Tax you to cover the gap. Repeat.
Want affordable child care? Let the neighbor who is good with kids open her door again.
Capital Gains didn’t go to child care, the income tax won’t either. Olympia just uses children as a foil to greedily take more money.
Vote YES on 645 To Repeal the Unconstitutional Income Tax

For many families in WA, child care is a luxury many can’t afford.
That’s why I’m a champion of the expanded Child Tax Credit, which helped parents pay for child care so they could get back to work.
When we invest in our families, we actually save money & boost our economy.

LOL the chance they keep this at a million is zero - Dems are already campaigning on lowering it & since it’s a household amount LOTS of pensions will be taxed in no time
Foes of the tax argue public pensions are at risk of being taxed. But no one gets a $1 million pension, and labor leaders say it's a scare tactic. seattletimes.com/seattle-news/p…

I'm not sure if everyone realizes that this "Millionaires Tax" will require EVERYONE to file their income with the state and you get an exemption on all income under 1 million.
It only takes one session to lower the exemption amount to $500k
It also doesn't just hit W2 high earners.
It covers married couples, out of state residents, LLC, S-Corp, and pensions.
If you think this doesn't effect you think agian.

When millionaires get a tax break, our hospitals and health care clinics pay the price.
Doctors know this. That’s why the Washington State Medical Association is opposing I-645.
I-645 would repeal the millionaires tax, give a tax break to the wealthiest, and defund social services and health care access in the process.
We won't stand for this.
Washington: Vote NO on I-645!
