Today in the UK, I saw how the Yorkshire Ambulance Service is using Copilot to cut down on administrative work and make better use of its data, and ultimately provide a better experience for medical personnel and patients.

It's an early example of what's possible as NHS England any as 500,000 clinicians and support staff across the country.

@satyanadellaS connection makes this impossible not to ask.

Mustafa Suleyman already has a documented NHS governance failure in his record: DeepMind Health and the Royal Free, involving ~1.6 million patients.

DeepMind eventually said: “We got that wrong.”

Now Microsoft is expanding Copilot to as many as 500,000 NHS staff.

What did Microsoft learn from that history before giving Suleyman even greater authority?

Microsoft calls Mustafa Suleyman “uniquely qualified” to lead frontier AI. But what kind of expertise does his record actually demonstrate, and what qualifies him to shape model science and AI ethics? x.com/i/article/2104…

@satyanadella Great!

I am also forced to use and do everything using M365 Apps( mainly 365 CoPilot ) since I haven't been allotted a GitHub CoPilot License...

Try to do some complex things in Google Antigravity and then replicate then again in Work Laptop...

@satyanadella Works fine until someone in the US administration acting at the behest of the FSB pulls a kill switch. The Trumpists are killing your business model that is based on trust.

@satyanadella Taking paperwork off ambulance crews simply means that every hour saved there can go back to patients. AI will help us so much!

@satyanadella well, these people look and talk like humans, good;
local experience from such cars and phone lines is some robotic cold emotionless admin-tech newspeak; sadly;

@satyanadella Microsoft using AI as a disguise to steal patient data to sell on and make money. We all know what the motive is from MS to force themselves onto the NHS.

One of the many use cases for Serus' OSINT features: an unknown number calls, you ask, it verifies.

You can verify pretty much anything with Serus. Everything from fake invoices, suspicious emails to verifying people or businesses who say they are.

@satyanadella per the post, NHS England is expanding Copilot to up to 500,000 clinicians and support staff. that's a lot of "can this be shorter" requests. picture a paramedic after a night shift, kettle on, hoping the paperwork finishes before the tea does.

@satyanadella The admin burden can be measured: a Lausanne University Hospital study (Annals of Internal Medicine, 2017) shadowed 36 residents. Per day shift they spent 1.7 hours with patients and 5.2 hours at a computer. If AI frees up time, it should end up at the bedside. #HealthTech

@satyanadella Admin time is where AI pays back first in healthcare. Every hour a paramedic doesn't spend on paperwork is an hour back on the road, and that's a far easier return to measure than most AI pilots.

@satyanadella NHS Wales is training 6,000 staff on Copilot for the same admin load this week. The admin win is real. The hard part is the trust line: a paramedic's notes become the hospital's handoff record, and the crew still has to sign what the model drafts.

@satyanadella Ambulance services are a strong test case because the admin work is mostly handover notes and incident reports written under time pressure. If Copilot drafts them from what crews already capture, the win shows up as more time on calls, which is easy to measure.

@satyanadella Copilot freeing up paramedics from paperwork sounds promising, but given Microsoft's past DeepMind NHS data mess, I'm not convinced they've fixed the privacy issues before rolling this out to half a million staff.
