@nadyamcg I thought you were a big fascist racist but you were also cool and nice to talk to this whole time (including while my political perspectives evolved). Whatever. we both had some kernel inside us which led to camaraderie regardless.

@nadyamcg When I saw this, I was going to say, isn't 20:14 a bit short? But again I cannot say.

@nadyamcg I dunno if I buy that wholesale lol but my whole understanding of your lore has been incomplete. We've been acquaintances since 2022

@1953Icfi I agree, just like, "Thoughts without content are empty, intuitions without concepts are blind". Content and concepts point to action, theretofore should thoughts follow.

@Sharzard5 So I've achieved freedom from self-imposed tutelage but I know you know that's nothing resembling real enlightenment

@Sharzard5 I guess I would rather be treated like ChatGPT than a person, especially to people who already failed to treat me like a person when they should have.

@Sharzard5 I'd only be okay with simplifying myself as an opening. A trailhead, someone with an answer to any question, if only answering includes a further question.

My friend recently brought up this paper by the GOAT Cartesian scholar: people.whitman.edu/~herbrawt/clas…
Descartes ultimately could not explain the passions nor mind-body interaction without invoking the non-human sentients of nature.

@1953Icfi Descartes was thinking about the animals at the time, and it led to a great tension and sense of unresolved contradiction in his philosophy - between acting and being. How mind-body interaction works and what belongs to each. "intentio, ergo sum" is more appropriate, to me.

@1953Icfi Robots act, but they cannot say, "ergo sum" unless instructed. The mere fact of acting or saying doesn't prove anything, it's that to speak ergo sum unprompted seems a spontaneous, undetermined, willful process: therefore, "cogito". To think it means to be, nothing else.
