Optical observation conditions for this object are currently poor at our sites due to orbit/Earth's shadow. Nevertheless, a pass over Australia, recorded on 2026-10-08, still showed some debris around METEOR 2-7 #12456.

With the re-entry of CLUSTER II-FM8 (Tango) on 1 September, our daily tracking campaign for the final two CLUSTER satellites has come to an end.
Over 35 nights, we conducted more than 200 observation series from three stations and recorded over 35,000 astrometric positions, rbit determination efforts for the targeted re-entries.
We are pleased that our work could contribute to the successful completion of this extraordinary mission.
We would also like to express our sincere thanks to Tim Flohrer, Oleksandr Kozhukhov, and the entire Cluster re-entry team at ESA for giving us the opportunity to apply our optical SSA network to the Cluster re-entry campaign and gain valuable experience in this specific operational context.

At 2:30 am UTC on 27 August 2026, LeoLabs detected a fragmentation of a Chinese Long March rocket body, CZ-6C (NORAD ID 100472). The object’s orbit was 396 km perigee and 482 km apogee.
