Here’s what Air in RustRover can do. Try it in 2026.3 👇
we've completely rebuilt how AI agents work inside JetBrains IDEs
it's called Air, and starting with 2026.3 it ships with all our IDEs
Some features:
⛽︎ sign in with your existing ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot or Google account. Claude subscriptions work in terminal view
⛽︎ or er, OpenAI, Anthropic or Gemini API key for supported chat agents
⛽︎ agents work right next to your code, so you can jump into any file they touch without leaving the IDE
⛽︎ hit a limit mid-task? switch to another subscription or API key right in the session, the work keeps going
⛽︎ Claude Agent, Codex, Junie and Copilot work out of the box. add Gemini CLI, Antigravity, OpenCode, Pi and more from the ACP registry, or connect your own agent through ACP
⛽︎ run agents in parallel in separate Git worktrees, then cherry-pick their changes back
⛽︎ agents get the IDE's symbol search, rename refactoring, inspections and run configurations, plus the debugger in IntelliJ IDEA and CLion
⛽︎ Junie Lite is free with a JetBrains account
⛽︎ leave notes on code or diffs and send them to your agent, Claude Code and Codex terminal sessions included
⛽︎ set up MCP servers once for every new agent chat, add skills from folders or GitHub
⛽︎ see at a glance which agents are running and which are waiting for you, use Caps Lock is LED of agents status
⛽︎ review the last turn, roll back individual files
⛽︎ stuck in a merge conflict? hand it to an agent right from the merge dialog
⛽︎ save agent presets and pin the prompts you keep reusing
⛽︎ macOS, Windows, Linux. Remote Development over SSH, WSL and dev containers too
and yes, you can change the chat text size
and much more features are coming before NY

Thanks @solana_devs and @SolPlay_jonas for the review! We put a lot of work into making Solana development smooth in RustRover, with support for building and testing Anchor and Quasar projects.
Give it a try and tell us how it feels 👇

Updating your OS won't fix this certificate issue in RustRover. Following the eMudhra certificate compromise, we've released security fixes for RustRover and other JetBrains tools.
Update RustRover to a fixed version and check the full advisory for details 👇

Love seeing developers taking on the 100 Exercises to Learn Rust challenge! 🦀
And @sahil0x01 picked a great time to start. We've recently given the course its biggest update yet, including a new final challenge where you build an async REST API.
Here's what's new 👇

Today I started doing these 100 exercises to learn Rust in RustRover
Just having fun and lets see if I can wrap it up today or not
I'll be back to my inference engineering journey from tomorrow

Your Rust workflow might involve an IDE, a terminal agent, and more than one model. Keeping track of access, usage, and spend across all those tools gets tricky as teams grow.
Air Governance helps teams manage AI usage, policies, and costs across providers while letting developers choose the tools they like 👇

Today we're releasing Air Governance.
For CTOs and tech leads: track AI usage, manage access, policies and spend org-wide.
Any LLM provider. Any dev tool. Truly vendor-agnostic.
Top-ups, guardrails, AI metrics, sessions.
Battle-tested at JetBrains. Can't imagine going back.

"Almost right" is not a code quality standard.
RustRover helps you stay confident in the code you ship.
Let’s talk about it! 👇🎥

An agent writes the code now. Do you still need an IDE?
You do if you want to understand and verify what the agent did.
🎥 In our new video, we talk about the role of an IDE now that humans aren't the only ones working on the code. youtu.be/AHFGMkzrfwM

Borrow checker errors make a lot more sense once you can see what’s going on 👀 glad we could help!
I really love this visual explanation on @rustrover, as I'm new to Rust, this is helping a lot to understand what is happening and why

Holy moly, we’ve seen a lot of interest in JetBrains Air since the announcement!
-Air in IDEs: for developers
-Air Teams: for team leads & engineering managers
-Air Governance: for CTOs & engineering directors
Here’s how to try these things:

Francesco put an Axum /health endpoint through its paces, reaching about 70k requests per second in release mode 👀
Thanks for sharing the walkthrough @FrancescoCiull4 👇

Why Axum is this fast.
Built and tested in @rustrover.
Endpoints, jump to source, HTTP client.
oha on /health, 10k, c50:
debug ~47.5k req/s, ~1.02 ms
release ~70k req/s, ~0.68 ms, 100%

Rust 1.99 just made rustdoc noticeably faster.
One lovely improvement: generating documentation is now around 20% faster on average! ⚡
And up to 40% faster for some crates 📦
