@DumbFoxFurrye is that criticism of an ideology, policy or specific behaviour isn’t the same as claiming every trans person is guilty of it.

But pointing out that sex matters in safeguarding, healthcare or single-sex spaces isn’t a generalisation about trans people.

It’s an argument about policy and material differences. Address the actual argument, not a straw man.

The position of the Sex Discrimination Commissioner should not come as a surprise and in fact is the only position that she can take in order to try be consistent and coherent to herself and others given her overarching views and opinions.

We must understand that the position she expressed is the only position one can organically arrive at, if one - as she does- a) conflates sex and gender identity b) disregards the material reality of women in favor of women being a feeling or an identity. c) disregards that certain reproductive processes are tied to being of a certain sex.

I have genuinely tried to understand this position and to debate it with her to no avail. There is one point where we fundamentally differ and that I think underpins her positions on this: Commissioner Cody believes that if we were to recognize that women and girls have historically been discriminated against based on their sex (intersecting with other grounds), that would mean that we accept that that this discrimination is biologically determined and that this discrimination is acceptable or justified.

This reasoning is flawed. We would not follow the same logic with any other form of discrimination, say for example racial discrimination. Naming that black people are often and have been often discriminated against because they are black does not suggest that such discrimination is justified, nor a tacit acceptance of it, nor does it suggest that they should be forever locked in a condition of being racially discriminated against.

The answer to a serious problem cannot be to stop naming the cause, in the hope that this cause would magically go away or that its impact on the lives of people would soften or vanish.

I have legit spent the whole day laughing about the Australian Human Rights Commission engaging a “communications consultant” to help them answer senate estimate questions, only to humiliate themselves by saying men who claim to be women need breastfeeding protections in law.

You have to laugh or we will lose our minds over this insanity of all this.

Australia: A domestic terrorist who detonated a home made bomb at a military expo avoids jail because he’s “trans.”
It’s just as well because they probably would have sent him to a women’s prison.
BREAKING: A Sri Lankan transgender far left activist avoids jail after bombing a toilet at Melbourne’s Land Forces defence expo.

Malith Shamera Fernando, 25, of Blackburn, detonated a homemade incendiary device in the male toilets at the Melbourne Convention Centre on 12 Sept in nearby cubicles.

It created a small fire and $4,600 damage. He scoped the venue the day before using his engineer ticket.

Police found 28 more homemade devices at his home, plus cannabis trafficking, ketamine and other drugs.

Protest material about “Free Palestine” and “disrupt Melbourne” was also recovered.

He pleaded guilty.

The prosecution demanded jail but soft on migrant crime Magistrate Donna Bakos gave him a Community Corrections Order, therapy and drug programs, and told him to pay the $4,600.

Why he avoided jail time?

Because prison would be “more onerous” due to his mental health diagnoses and gender status.

So a biological male who planted a bomb at a defence expo, stockpiled more explosives, and dealt drugs walks free, because the judge decided jail might be too hard for him.

Two tier justice on full display.

J.K. Rowling could have kept quiet, banked her billions and stayed everyone's favourite author.

She didn't.

She put her name, her reputation and her own money on the line for women.

She founded Beira's Place, a women-only centre in Edinburgh for survivors of sexual violence. ghts to protect women's rights and women-only spaces. And she has given a voice to women who were too scared to speak.

For that she has faced years of death threats, rape threats and torture threats.

She hasn't flinched once.

That's not just a literary legend. That's a hero for women everywhere. 👏🇬🇧

A girl born today in @Australia will grow up, by law, a second class citizen. She may not draw boundaries between herself and men. She has no right to safety, privacy or fair sports as she grows. Men are her superiors in every way. It's like the west's version of Afghanistan.
I have to leave Australia so I can actually run a start-up exclusively for women while men who claim to be women have BREASTFEEDING PROTECTIONS IN LAW🤬

The current government, including representatives of the attorney-general, have no plans to fix it. They’re happy to admit it:

But we don't use my mates as a basis for policy with regards to entry into female changing rooms.
@helenstaniland Stop playing the victim over your made up problems.

Trans people are not a threat, but you're to much of a sheep to understand that.

I have trans friends, and they're some of the nicest people around.
Maybe because they understand what it's like to have to deal with you.

It’s kinda crazy to me that we melt sand down, clean it to 99.99999% purity, literal wizards have to draw it slowly into an ingot, we cut it, inscribe a hundred billion little on/off switches on it, and when you run electric current through it you can do basic arithmetic, which when you do enough of it can do any math on the planet, and which describes reality well enough that we can teach it the ontological meaning of words and their distance from each other on a high-dimensional space, and if you ask, it can tell you what word comes next and that apparently is powerful enough that if you do it a hundred billion times it’s the smartest thing to ever exist

oh yeah and we use this primarily for email

@salltweets I am confused. TRAs always say their critics confuse "gender" with "sex", as under transgender ideology those are 2 distinctly different things. Yet TRAs are always allowing trans identifying people to cross sex-based boundaries. It's almost as if their ideology makes no sense.

Things that are not genocide:
-- When a man seeks to join a woman's rugby team and is told he cannot join because he is a man but is eligible to join the team corresponding to his sex.
-- When a man is told he cannot use the ladies changing room but must use the changing room sex.
-- When a male murderer who says he is a woman is told he must remain in a prison with other men rather than be transferred to a women's prison based on his claim to be a woman.
-- When the state declines to pay for a man's castration
-- When the state declines to pay for a man's mandibular reconstruction surgery.
-- When a passport or driver's license lists the material fact of a man's sex instead of his private reverie to be a woman
-- When a person remains free to refer to the material fact of a person's sex rather than being coerced by state power into joining in a person's attempted falsification of this fact
-- When a 9-year old child is judged ineligible to be prescribed an off-label cancer drug in order to freeze him in a pre-pubertal state so as to better mimic the appearance of a member of the opposite sex

Not only are none of these acts genocidal, none of them violate any right that any person has.

If they were granted, as they have been in many states, they would simply be discretionary entitlements being handed out by the state to a legally privileged caste of person at the expense of the rights of others.

Where they are being removed, it is simply a reversion to a status quo without a legally privileged caste being rewarded with special rights that come at the expense of the rights and finances of others.

Glad to clear this confusion up, guys -- I expect you will now desist from claiming that you are victims of a genocide when you are not victims of rights violation of any kind.
Some left wing Democrats in the US are finally backing away from the madness and saying radical things like “women deserve their own sports” or “taxpayers shouldn’t pay for plastic surgery in prisons”. Let’s check in on the Bluey place and see how they are taking this:

Today is apparently "Intersex Awareness Day," and a writer at the Trevor Project chose to honor people with developmental conditions by...lying about the nature and prevalence of their conditions for political gain.

The article just regurgitates the same tired arguments that bunked many times, such as that "sex" refers to a collection of traits, that so-called "intersex" conditions are "as common as red hair" (1-2%), and that people with these conditions are not classifiable as male or female.

Lying to people about the nature and prevalence of their developmental condition does not help or support them. It exploits them.

I'm not going to write a formal response, because I've already debunked these arguments countless times. So I'll just leave you with a link to my most recent scholarly article on the topic: "Why There Are Exactly Two Sexes."

📣 NEW CAMPAIGN! 📣

Introducing the Women’s Rights Network Red Flag Campaign: Retail

Millions of women and girls are being put at risk of sexual crimes in mixed-sex changing rooms. Our new Red Flag Campaign Retail focuses on the safety of women and girls in high street stores d-sex changing rooms attract sexual predators looking for easy access to women and girls in a state of undress. Our research in Leisure Centres found that 86-100% of sexual crimes in leisure centre changing rooms occurred in mixed-sex facilities. (Our leisure centre research is published on our website.)

Now we are turning our attention to the dangers of high street changing rooms.

🚩🚩🚩 Women and girls are experiencing voyeurism, illicit photography, even sexual assault, because retailers have abandoned single-sex changing rooms in favour of ‘inclusive’ mixed-sex changing facilities.

Retailers have a duty of care to their customers and we say denying women the privacy, dignity and safety of a single-sex changing room is a dereliction of their duty to keep us safe on their premises. 1/3
