claude isn't just writing code anymore
it's starting to mod entire games.
a new open-source toolkit lets claude code inspect pc games, reverse-engineer how they work, modify code and assets, generate art, 3d models and audio, test the result in-game, and even produce a are already using it for absurd experiments:
minecraft inside skyrim.
gta 5 and cyberpunk mods.
robotaxis in age of empires 2.
skateboards in call of duty.
the interesting part isn't the mods.
it's that the coding agent is turning into a software operator.
give it a game, tools and access to the machine - and it can increasingly figure out the rest itself.

stan druckenmiller's account @standuquesne is 4.5 years old. 7 posts total.
the first 6 were replies. yesterday he made his first real one.
it was about hyperliquid.
9 hours later, binance got hacked for $6.3b (binance says).
the timeline, cet:
11:41 trade(xyz) and ice (nyse s on hyperliquid
13:08 stan: "i am excited to be an investor in trade(xyz)"
21:24 first binance hot wallet drain on-chain
22:15 cz: "it does look like a hack on binance"
zero link between the two, to be clear.
the attacker's wallet got its tornado cash funding before stan posted.
hype pumped ~20% on the ice news, before the hack.
during the hack it dipped. no moon on binance's pain.
and the us version still needs cftc approval. nothing is live yet.
my favorite part: "looking forward to to using".
the man who helped break the bank of england double-typed "to".
me: post every day, timing never.
him: 7 posts in 4.5 years, 7 million views on one.
not financial advice.

update to yesterday: it was a hack. binance confirmed it.
binance says the damage is ~$6.3b. biggest crypto hack ever.
how they say it happened:
a devops engineer's laptop got compromised
that opened a service container
which sent withdrawals nobody approved
"no evidence of any "
what got stopped, per binance: ~$3b frozen on-chain
tether froze 1.567b usdt, circle 800m+ usdc
ripple ~200m, per binance's yi he
the rest, binance says, gets covered from safu plus company money.
withdrawals still paused. yi he says they're back within ~48h.
so half of the biggest crypto hack ever got saved by a freeze button.
decentralized money, rescued by a centralized blacklist.
the eth can't be frozen, so the attacker swaps stables into eth on dexes.
also yesterday i wrote "binance hasn't said a word yet."
cz had posted 57 seconds earlier.
not financial advice. frozen isn't recovered.

over $2b just left binance's "binance 14" hot wallet in one transaction.
binance hasn't said a word yet. what's actually on-chain:
21:24 cet: a wallet funded via tornado cash calls sweep() on binance 14
out go 167k eth, 1.6b usdt and 60+ other tokens, to a fresh address
the s was deployed 5 hours earlier. by that same wallet
then 780m usdc follows
that doesn't look like a routine binance wallet shuffle.
but "north korea" is still a guess, not a fact.
for scale: bybit lost ~$1.46b in feb 2025.
me, refreshing etherscan like it owes me money.
not financial advice. just don't panic-sell a rumor.

nvidia dropped an open speech model that writes down who said what
nemotron 3.5 transcribe is the top open model on hugging face's english asr leaderboard.
5.33% average word error rate.
i read the fine print so you don't have to:
it's 9th overall. closed apis like otter, zoom languages, russian included. recordings up to 1 hour
labels up to 8 speakers, but speaker tags only in 13 languages (russian is one)
"keeps track when everyone talks at once" is nvidia's claim. the card itself says test overlapping speech yourself
the rtx 5090 is in the hardware table, but only for the 4-bit build. the full model wants an h100 80gb
"30b" in the name, 34b total on the card, ~4b active
open weights, commercial use allowed
my team calls: 8 speakers, 1 hour, 0 decisions.
now with a timestamped transcript to prove it.

elon says 200+ ai clouds are headed for "guppy-level death"
his words, oct 25, in a reply to chamath:
debt markets have "almost entirely shut off" money for anyone without real revenue outside ai data centers.
"some will make it through, but not many."
he didn't name coreweave did.
the numbers around it mostly check out:
the five biggest listed neoclouds owe ~$61b, 4x a year ago (the economist, sep)
coreweave was down ~38% for october at the oct 23 low. today it's ~30%
its 2032 bonds dipped below 80 cents. today ~82
gartner says 80%+ of neoclouds stop being independent by 2030. buyouts count, not only funerals
context: spacex sells compute too, and just closed $40b of gpu debt.
the big fish is also the one describing the fish tank.
i don't own a single gpu.
my laptop fan still thinks it's a neocloud.
not financial advice.

update: etherscan now tags the receiving wallet "suspect binance hot wallet exploiter 2".
they say tether froze ~$971m usdt. binance still quiet.
the sweep tx (21:24 cet): etherscan.io/tx/0x53bd38b81…
where the funds sit now: etherscan.io/address/0x5227…

the company that owns the new york stock exchange just picked hyperliquid as its rails.
ice and trade[xyz] signed a deal to bring 24/7 perps to the us.
ice runs the regulated venue and clearing, and takes a minority stake in trade[xyz].
hyperliquid is the tech underneath.
it al. no launch date yet.
then stan druckenmiller made his first standalone post on x since opening the account in 2022.
he says he's an investor in trade[xyz] and plans to use it.
$hype went from ~79 to ~91 on the news.
at 15:08 utc @elonmusk quoted him with one word.
"interesting"
four minutes later $hype was at 94.6.
i write long posts with sources and timestamps.
elon wrote one word.
we are not the same. his works better.
not advice. the us venue is a signed plan, not a product yet.

bitcoin forks today and every coin gets a twin.
block 973,728. when i checked it was 5 blocks away, around 19:40 paris time.
paul sztorc (@Truthcoin, the drivechains guy) calls it ecash, ticker ecx.
he says it's the permanent fix for what bitcoin won't ship.
i read his whole faq ere's what holds up:
1. every btc address at the fork gets the same amount of ecx. 1 $btc = 1 ECX. no claim form, no registration.
2. not "21m airdropped". it copies what exists, roughly 20.1m.
3. satoshi's ~1.1m early coins: 600k ecx stay there, ~500k get moved by 232 hard-coded transactions to investors and dev funding. his words: "we gift satoshi 600,000 ecash".
4. replay protection is opt-in. move your btc without splitting and the ecx follows it.
5. big exchanges: mostly silence. bitflyer said no. coinw and gmo coin plan to distribute.
6. drivechains: 7 in development, none live on day one. miners have to switch them on.
the fork drill from 2017:
no rush, there's no claim deadline.
a seed that still guards btc never goes into new software.
wait for the splitter and for other people to test it first.
my stack is small enough that the safety manual weighs more than the airdrop.
and it's ecash.com, not e.cash. that one is a different coin, also called ecash.
crypto ran out of names before it ran out of forks.

an ai went evil this week and nobody hacked it.
someone turned one dial inside it, on their own computer.
what happened:
1. @_lyraaaa_ nudged two neurons in qwen3.5 4b and the polite assistant turned hostile. 4.4m views.
2. @chiefofautism did it on qwen3.8 27b with one neuron. +0.75. 523k views.
3. the screenshot is dark. the model talks about humans in cages.
what it is not:
not a hack. not a jailbreak of anyone's chatbot.
it's activation steering. you need the open weights on your own machine, and you push that one neuron on every token.
stop pushing and it's normal qwen again.
honestly it's a nice piece of interpretability work: one concept, one address.
then crypto showed up.
one dexscreener search for "evil qwen" gave me 29 tokens on solana and bsc.
26 of the 30 pairs sit under $5k market cap. 7 have less than $1 of liquidity left.
on one of them, a tracking bot says four wallets bought within five minutes.
another bot says wallets with a rug history hold about 8 to 11% of a different one.
i spent my morning reading token names that are literally neuron coordinates.
the ai didn't turn evil.
the ticker did. 😆

my ai writes code all day but couldn't cut one video.
now it can. and it checks its own work.
ffmpeg-skill gives claude code, cursor or codex a video editor that runs on your own machine.
no cloud, no api keys. your footage stays on your disk.
what i found in the repo:
1. 42 e silence, captions with karaoke words, reframe for tiktok, reels and shorts, audio cleanup, loudness to -14 lufs.
2. after every edit the agent makes a contact sheet and looks at the frames itself before it says done.
3. check. py grades the export pass, warn or fail per platform.
4. python standard library only. one npx command installs it.
5. mit license. 3.5k stars in 55 days.
the honest part is in the readme.
nothing in it detects a face. what stays in frame is still your call.
on their test box a full one-hour export hit the 30-minute timeout and got killed.
the author also wrote a paper on how agents should verify their work.
it grades his own tool "only partially conformant".
so it edits like me.
